Yeah, they used to make us play field hockey too.......bloody stupid sport......no body checking......I grew up with hockey, with Dad building a back garden rink in the winter, using hydro cross arms for the boards......
Go Habs Go!
I'll take field hockey any day. I don't understand the need for contact in sports. Guess I'm just not a spectator. Body checking isn't allowed in Women's hockey, and I must admit the Women's games at the Olympics and World's are very entertaining games.....personally, I really dislike fighting in hockey, especially the stupid staged fights......fortunately, those are gradually going away...

I really enjoyed the women's hockey at the last two Winter Olympics: good, clean, fast game. I too hate the fights and the hard body checking. I am a little mad at Subban right now, because he is a great player: he doesn't need to slash like that!

I watched both the women's and men's hockey last year and they both won, I forgot the sledge hockey and they lost.... I hate the Olympics!!

Yes, it was an undisciplined, stupid play on Subban's part and he has to be smarter than that......however, it isn't quite the heinous crime Ottawa is making it out to be.....
There is a Murdoch connection......Yannick's brother-in-law is former NHL player, Martin Lapointe....he now works as part of Montreal's management team.......

I wonder if the trouble that George has been in, with him preverting the course of justice, if he'll be demoted and back to being a constable in S9. TBH, I hope so. That way the show can get back to it's winning formula, instead of having to construct ways to stick George into the cases as a 2nd detective. Julia needs to get back involved in cases, so there just isn't the room for them all to play a central role along side William. Well George must also feel he has to do some penance to accept that situation after all these years. I still think there needs to be a crime lab to give the Boyz (and Girlz) some room to grow horizontally out of SH4.

Hi there. I just joined here and don't know if this has been discussed, but has there been any speculation on the man in the red scarf?

We've had lots of speculation about the blue sleeve but the red scarf, not that I know of. I can't place the scene or character....too busy freaking out about George. At what point do you see this man?

On reconsideration I believe I was over-thinking it. After George visits Edna and returns to the stationhouse, he is waylaid by Dr. Ogden outside the morgue. While they are talking, a thin man in a gray overcoat, black homburg and bright red scarf, carrying a cane, brushes past Crabtree. We only see him from the back. Later, during the scene where George and Henry are talking, while George considers the gun in the shop window, the same man is seen in the background, engaging in conversation with another character.
I thought that might be meaningful but, thinking on it, I imagine they were just reusing an extra who happened to have a showy accessory.
If I come up with any more hare-brained ideas, I'll preface them with "Excuse me sirs, but I've been thinking..." from now on.

Most of the time they have nothing to do with the actual scene.

We often get thinking WAY outside the box!!

Hi there. I just joined here and don't know if this has been discussed, but has there been any speculation on the man in the red scarf? No, but I'm a big fan of possible symbolism or visual cues in MM. The red scarf always harkens back to the iconic Toulouse-Lautrec poster that looks like the most famous Dr. Who. I would buy it was meant to have meaning like the Girl in the Red Dress in The Matrix. Welcome, btw!
