Was there a previous show where Julia & William discussed a " serial killer"...although I'm sure they used another word meaning serial??? Several episodes have discussed "sequential killers". Orgell in "Snakes and Ladders" was a sequential killer, but I think others have been mentioned.

I'm now voting for Eva Pierce to be the sequential killer. There had to be a point to her escape in The Incurables. In Murdoch in Ladies Wear she was a practiced schemer who then elevated herself to murderer in The Murdoch Sting to gain her own ends. She is smart, calculating, manipulative AND willing to murder. Eva, like Gillies, recognizes Julia as William's Achilles heel. What Eva doesn't know, merely suspects, is that William shared his fantasy about her with Julia. Eva has her sights aimed at the right bullseye. She just doesn't know for certain how close she is. I can only hope that her overconfidence will be her undoing. Eva and Gillies really are a pair.

I won't go on record here but I'm not so sure Eva is the sequential killer. I'm not sure what she would gain from that. I do think she'll turn up in S9 though.

I would rather Eva get someone else to do her dirty work. If she keeps going back to jail, she will end up having to escape, and everyone will get annoyed that she's another Gillies. Maybe it's Leslie~

Hey...we're CANADIANS!! He would not be fearful of a lynch mob. The vast majority of FB posters have been ra-ra, with only a few dissenters who get vilified. We (me) have been very hard on him this season but I think the dialogue the other night proves there is common ground starting with our mutual love of the show. THAT is always a good place to start. I am still impressed by his change of tone the other night. I for one would really enjoy having a chat with him over a drink. It would be AMAZING if Paul Aitken, Carol Hay or Cal Coons showed up! Actually, I would be really happy to meet ANY of the writers. To be honest I would love to sit down with him and have a reasonable discussion. Although I agree with you on the direction things have been going I do have some respect for him especially as a writer. Carol Hay is the other writer I'd love to meet. Not sure if Cal Coons has much to do with MM these days other than the occasional directorial gig. Personally, I'd love to chat with Peter Mitchell and other writers. I saw Peter at the studio open house and every time I screwed up the courage to go speak to him, someone else beat me there and he ended up in long conversations with them......I did have a nice chat with Craig Grant, though.......

Apparently Peter Mitchell was invited to tomorrow night's event by the organizers. He has declined but replied that he would see if any of the other writers might go. Wouldn't THAT be interesting??!! Chicken! He was worried about peasants with torches and pitchforks! Torontonians don't do pitchforks.....they are too hard to carry on the Subway......

If he has a beef against W/J you'd think he would have done something about it earlier in the season, I may be wrong on that though.

And it is one of the old clunky ones with lots of noise and a ride as rough as a bear's arse.......(I really have no idea how rough a bear's arse is, however, that is an old expression from childhood.....)

we will make it until you hate it ... Good for you Peter! We'll watch as long as you make it, even if we do complain occasionally. We only complain because we love the show so much and don't want it to go in a direction the fans will abandon it and it will be cancelled.
