Saying that George needs to take over an investigation because William is in the hospital after being beaten up by some gang members isn't an innaccurate description of Crabtreemania. That's a complete description of a different episode that we haven't seen. D: But CrabtreeMania is the ep that George was supposedly the lead on. I don't think he's going to be the lead in The Artful Detective. Title's all wrong for that.

I still think George is coming back to SH4 somehow.

The first time George ran an investigation William was out of action, they probably thougth the same scenario was the reason George took over. Which he didn't really.

I think IMdb just screwed up......they also had the description for the Artful Detective series on Ovation as the description for the Artful Detective episode initially.......

New preview---> www.facebook.com/video.php?v=778139952264469 "While pursuing a sequential killer who collects macabre trophies from his victims, Murdoch becomes a target. But never fear, our Artful Detective has a new invention up his sleeve to help catch the killer. " lol, William is so reluctant to kill a few test constables!

Apparently Peter Mitchell was invited to tomorrow night's event by the organizers. He has declined but replied that he would see if any of the other writers might go. Wouldn't THAT be interesting??!!

Of course he won't go. He doesn't want to have to answer for all the problems of S8. I would love to meet Paul Aitken.

The vast majority of FB posters have been ra-ra, with only a few dissenters who get vilified. We (me) have been very hard on him this season but I think the dialogue the other night proves there is common ground starting with our mutual love of the show. THAT is always a good place to start. I am still impressed by his change of tone the other night. I for one would really enjoy having a chat with him over a drink. It would be AMAZING if Paul Aitken, Carol Hay or Cal Coons showed up! Actually, I would be really happy to meet ANY of the writers.

Carol Hay would be interesting - she's been there from the start, and though she's female, she's more of the social history writer than the shippy writer. So she would be a great person to ask about the changes MM has gone through over the years.

Was there a previous show where Julia & William discussed a " serial killer"...although I'm sure they used another word meaning serial???

Although I agree with you on the direction things have been going I do have some respect for him especially as a writer. Carol Hay is the other writer I'd love to meet. Not sure if Cal Coons has much to do with MM these days other than the occasional directorial gig.
