Wishing all Murdoch fans a very merry Christmas and a happy new year:
While shepherds washed their socks by night, And hung them on the line, The angel of the Lord came down, And said 'Those socks are mine !
----------
We three Kings of Orient are, Selling chocolate, tuppence a bar, One on a scooter, blowing his hooter, And following yonder star.
----------
While shepherds washed their socks by night all watching ITV the angel of the Lord came down and switched to BBC.
----------
Star of wonder, star of light, Sit on a box of dynamite, Pull the trigger here we go, On our way to Mexico!
-----------
Good King Wenceslas looked out in his pink pyjamas, sliding down the banisters, eating bad bananas.

What about this one?
While shepherds washed their socks by night All seated round the tub A bar of Lifeboy floated round And they began to scrub

God rest ye merry, gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay, For Murdoch Myst'ries, Shall return, anon, From New Years' Day,
To save us all from, Dull and bore, Since we hath strayed away, And bringing tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy, Bringing tidings of comfort and joy!
--- --- ---
We wish you a merry Christmas, We wish you were right here with us, We wish you a merry Christmas, And a full keg of beer!
Good tidings we bring, To kittens, some string, We wish you a merry Christmas, And a happy new year!
--- --- --- ---
Probably not as funny...meh.

What did we all get for Christmas? I bought myself three books, and a boy-scout style flashlight. The books are: "How To Be a Victorian" by Ruth Goodman. Some people might know Ruth Goodman from all her documentary series - The Victorian Farm, The Victorian Pharmacy, The Edwardian Farm, The Green Valley, The Tudor Monastery Farm and the Wartime Farm. "The Middle Ages: Everyday Life in Medieval Europe" by Jeffery L. Singman. "KRAKATOA: The Day the World Exploded", by Simon Winchester. About the famous 1883 eruption of Mt. Krakatoa in the Dutch East Indies. I also bought a boy-scout style light. Same style as this: I've wanted one of these for a while. And they were going very cheap at the local army-surplus store.

Wow that flashlight looks like so much fun! I have to start stalking your tricks for getting cool stuff. as if I had room for cool stuff at my place
The books sound terrific, too! I believe I've read the Krakatoa one! The Victorian one sounds like it will be extremely thorough. Are you still writing Sherlock Holmes stories?

What did we all get for Christmas? Ps. I haven't opened my gifts yet, but I've been reading the Journals of the Brothers Goncourt.

This break is too long already. Got that right. I'm taking this opportunity to do another marathon from the beginning.
