From the CBC: Murdoch investigates a man's bizarre death, which may have been caused by a high-speed travel device.

I loved this episode because was a brilliant old school MM adventure. I've always been a fan of when MM do sci-fi/fantasy episodes and this was so entertaining. This has been my favourite of the season so far. Even without George, to have just the original characters was a treat.
William and Julia were hilarious and adorable. Hornier than usual Julia is very amusing and we know William isn't going to complain. Higgins has matured a lot these days and it's nice to see. Pendrick really is a terrible judge of character and choice of schemes and maybe one day something will work out for him.

I am madly in love with Pendrick! His episodes are always favourites of mine. Loved this episode because of him and also because of Julia's reactions to the hormones.

I agree that this was a fun episode with much to enjoy.
I liked the character development and the progression, and the maintenance of friendships.
What I DIDN'T like is the rather predictable outcome. I dunno about the rest of you, but for once, I'd like to see Pendrick actually SUCCEED in something. He and Murdoch are kindred spirits, much like Murdoch and Ogden, in the sense that they're both intelligent, technically/scientifically-minded people of vision and know-how. But unlike Murdoch, Pendrick's schemes never pan out. And some of them were really cool. I think it's time he had a break and actually had a success for once.

Finally getting around to posting here!
Um. Not much to add then what's already been said about this episode. I did like the few plot twists in this episode - aka it being the male assistant not the female ones, his investor actually turned against him & it was nature/science which prevented him from doing his high speed train - Overall I enjoyed this episode! I like how they sorta poked fun at all the other Pendrick episodes - Margaret reluctant to invest because his schemes don't often work out & Murdoch pointing out that he's been blindsided by his coworkers before. Like shengas I'd like to see a Pendrick invention finally hold up against a meeting with Murdoch! I feel like with this episode they were sort of setting that up - so perhaps next season if there is one (there better be!)
Kind of wondering what happened to Viola Hart at this point..but since her character really hasn't been fully developed yet not really missed.

This was a fun episode. I always enjoy James Pendrick and wonder what he'll come up with next. If only his invention worked. I would have tried travelling that way LOL.

Loved this episode. The whole season so far has been incredibly brilliant. James Pendrick is a a great character and the writers are very clever to come up with the storylines for him that they do. Just loving the interaction of W/J this season. Long overdue. Good to see Henry step up. As always MM came up with a twist at the end regarding the assistant.Never saw that coming.
