Hmmm, I wonder what tragic, dark thing will happen? Chess seems like a pretty light topic for her, to be honest.

I enjoyed this episode much more than last weeks - it was hilarious how the cat got out out of the bag though it was bound to eventually! As much as I love how the cat escaped; I still wish Margaret had been the first to find out -
Loved Julia scolding William being beat up in the alleyway - that was funny! Um. Thought it was interesting that when going after the Russians Murdoch and Brackenreid used an actual cab company instead of just a poliece carriage! also thought it was interesting that Brax road the moterbike - (Murdoch must have been giving him lessons)
At first I was a little put off by Hart's comments to Ogden at the end of the episode; but she does have a point. Maybe Julia - post pregnancy decides to stay out of the moruge and go full time at the medical college? Don't get me wrong I love Julia in the morgue but IDK maybe it's time to mix up Julia's career again? I also really love the idea of her going full time teaching at the medical college.
Murder wise there were quite a few twists and turns that I enjoyed! Kept me guessing at the end there and I did love Brax's English Diplomacy.

A nice historical note, when they used the cab, it was from Blackburn Cabs which was an actual company. It was one of the first companies founded by a black owner, Thornton Blackburn, who was an escaped slave: www.cabbagetownpeople.ca/person/thornton-and-lucie-blackburn/

I also loved how everyone found out William and Julia are expecting. It was nice to see it out in the open. I hope Julia stays healthy and delivers a healthy baby. I'd be horrified if anything bad happened. I also adored Julia scolding William. They're so cute together. I had no idea who the murderer was, and I got a bit confused as the episode progressed. All in all, Maureen wrote a great episode.
