What subject matter would you like to see next season (since we know the subjects of the rest of S4)? I'll go first. I'd like to see a murder happen at a ballet performance and/or an opera, since we've already seen one at the theatre. We've seen one with a boxer/boxing match, so how about a team sport like cricket or hockey?

Another one I've been thinking of is French Canadians, esp since YB is French Canadian. They've done a bit about immigrants in the last episode so they could dovetail that with something about migration of Quebecois into Ontario and discontent over their treatment. I could see Brackenreid and Murdoch being on opposite sides, William being sympathetic to the French Canadians due to his Jesuit training in Nova Scotia and his own mistreatment for being Roman Catholic. I wonder if we even might see something about this in the next episode which takes place at a convent in Montreal. He's supposed to find out something dark about his past in the next episode, too. I wonder what that could be.

Oh, I'd also like to see some snow! We've seen it only in the panorama shots if at all. I am glad we've seen some sunny shots since they weren't any of those before but we've never seen snow on the ground or anyone in winter clothes.

I'd like to see George with a romantic interest that lasted more than a single episode. It's ironic, really, since in the books George is married with a lot of children!
I'd also like to see something where William has to interact with Julia's father....of course that might depend on whether or not William and Julia actually get back together and marry, as I expect them to.

I kind of want to see a showdown for George between Tess and Ruby. Ruby will be around for Julia's wedding after all. And maybe whomever George doesn't choose will take an interest in Higgins. In fact maybe Higgins will agree to go work for Tess' private detective agency because he doesn't get enough recognition at Station 4 and this will cause jealousy by George over his closeness with Tess. Speaking of seeing William and Julia's father, I'd kind of like to see Julia and Harry Murdoch together. Something tells me he wouldn't like her at first either. He'd probably think she was stuck up. And she knows about William's feelings for his father, too.

I shamefully have yet to read the books Are William and Julia together in them? BTW do we know if there will actually be a S5?

I haven't read the books either. I think I will wait until the show is over so I don't compare things or get confused. I'm sure there are things that were changed for the TV show. I don't think there's been an official announcement but the author's husband pretty much confirmed there will be a S5 on the Alibi message board. It's at least highly likely.

Ooh, that could be interesting, camilla. I wonder why Julia would go undercover though since she's not part of the police. I guess she has gone undercover once, as a man at the gentleman's club. I bet we will see George and Tess working together if Tess does start her private detective agency. They'll both somehow end up working on the same case and Tess could go undercover.

There are so many, I do not know where to start.
1. Snow
2. How about a normal length season like 22 episodes as opposed to a mere 13.
3 How about a two hour season opener that would take place on a train traveling west to British Columbia. This would set the stage for a ‘’Murder on the Orient Express’’ type of episode.
4. Its tradition in many Canadian cities for city police to play against city firefighters in hockey games. Now these games are quite tame, but in the past they used to be quite brutal and big rivalries would develop. I think it would be funny to see William and George in vintage hockey equipment.
5. Season 5 to take place a few years after the end of season 4. That way new conflicts could develop between William and Julia. If Julia and Darcy marry at the end of season 4, maybe Darcy gets killed off early in the season and Julia and William can re-kindle their romance. If Julia and William marry at the end of season 4, then a few years later maybe they are having problems over starting a family or Julia’s career. I like William and Julia together, but I think they are more fun to watch whey they are ''having problems'' as opposed to when they are happy.

All Canadian shows that I know of are 13 episodes long. Your #3 is something Yannick said he wanted to do in an interview I heard/read. I like it and your #4!

I would not like 22 episodes. It takes away from the quality of shows when you have to stretch series that long. They run out of original ideas and the crimes get less interesting. Happens to every 22 episode length crime show. Canada has the right idea with 13.

I wouldn't be able to stand it if it was like our programmes with a mere 4 episodes in the case of Lewis!... Having said that they do seem to be getting longer like Dr Who and Merlin!

After Brackenreid's comment about the Abominable Snowman, I wonder if that creature will appear! LOL It could mean snow!
