You can still only pre-order S3 by itself (there is a box set with it available). It's due out in a few weeks. So when will we be able to pre-order S4? I assume it will be this summer maybe? I just ordered S1-3 on Amazon so I am excited to get them!

Season 4 is scheduled to be out in the UK middle of May, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon-UK. Unfortunately, you can't watch that version on DVD players in the US. You can watch it on a computer in the US, but you can't go back and forth from Region 1 to Region 2 too many times before your computer is permanently one or the other.
Acorn has Season 3 available. (Acornonline.com) The Murdoch Mysteries usually come out first in the US on Acorn, since that's the distributor in the US. At a guess, I would think Season 4 would come out in December or January, but that may be pushed back because of the late showing in Canada.

Have you got a universal DVD player?, because then you'd be able to have DVDs of any region

No, I think ours is pretty old. it was a hand me down. I wish they would just do one standard type.

Me too but then I suppose we could buy the US TV shows before they are even aired here, which I wouldn't mind

I want to share the episodes with my mom though and I want her to see the beginning so I went ahead and bought the DVDs. I was planning to anyway. I hope the extras are good. There's supposed to be behind the scenes stuff.

I have yet to see a universal DVD player over here, although I know they exist.

Regionfree DVD recorders are a blessing. I got season 1 and 2 on Ebay, ordered s3 in the USA and 4 in the UK. Now, if I only could find a cheap regionfree Blueray-player, BRs usually have so many more extras. *sighs*

I also noticed that imdb has S2-3 full episodes through Amazon (Amazon owns imdb). You probably have to pay a dollar or two to watch an episode (and I don't know if they play outside the U.S.). I don't know why S1 isn't up yet.

Really? I knew they sell them on Amazon but I didn't realise they owned IMDB! To be honest I'd rather have the DVDs with all the computer trouble I've been having lately I don't really trust it!

Amazon owns imdb.com, yes. So they've posted the episodes in the imdb episode guide.

Over here in Canada (and the USA too) s3 was released all of a week ago. But we did get an HD release so ha ha. I don't expect s4 to be made available for a year or so in Region 1. Citytv still has 3 weeks in which to make change to the season premiere date and since this is the fourth premiere date they have announced whose to say they will stay with this one. If you live in Wisconson and want season 4 on DVD NOW then you will have to get yourself the British release.

Yeah, I just got S3 on DVD and I'm in the U.S. I'm not in Wisconsin though I'll wait for the Region 1 S4 DVD release. I'm guessing it will be available about a year from now.
