Greetings all, I am from DC and I have been watching since this summer. I found MM 'by accident' and have been hooked since. I am up to Season 7 on Acorn and I think I may be a fan. Hello, from one newby to another! I used to live in DC in Arlandria, and I worked at the Pentagon. I got hooked on Murdoch when I first heard the theme song, and then saw the interesting intro. I liked the content of the programs, and when I saw Yannick Bisson as Murdoch... I was hooked for good!

I loaded the theme into the player on the phone then went into ringtones and selected it. Simple as that. My phone's my mp3 player and I use it in the car via bluetooth, very handy.

Some day I, too, shall have gadgets. I was never bothered about a smartphone until I had to change providers due to no service when we moved. Well, there was service, if you stood in the middle of the road. I didn't think that would work very well . Sooo, we went to get a new provider and I was going to get a basic phone and my daughter talked me into the latest (at that time). I wouldn't be w/o it now, it's attached to my person. My phone, my calendar, my mp3 player, my book reader, my camera (if I don't have a real one with me) and my photo gallery - such as it is as there's nothing personal in there. I've finally been dragged into the 21st century.

But other than that, it's at the top of my agenda when I get more regular work. I feel like the last person in the civilized world who has never had a cellphone. I do have one pseudo-gadget: a kindle that can access the Internet. When my posts have many spelling errors, I'm trying to use that.

I told him it was just for emergencies. Now I wouldn't be without it and when I lost my first smartphone I was so upset I stopped eating. Well, maybe the realization, the same day, that I was suddenly obsessed by MM may have contributed to that. It was only Friday and I had to wait till Monday to see another episode. It was just after that that my husband bought me the first 4 seasons and I increased my internet to unlimited so I could watch the previous two seasons on the CBC website. The rest is history.

It sounds very versatile - I should keep it mind for when I'm working full time again.

I have a wonderful husband and he encourages my obsession, for now anyway, but there are drawbacks to marriage. I'm not saying I wouldn't have another relationship but I would never tie the knot again. Remember I never accepted his proposal but I have to tell you we'd only been dating 3 weeks when he made it. If he'd known me better he'd have known my response was 99.9% chance it's no. I guess because I didn't actually say NO he though I had accepted. I've got a Samsung Galaxy S3, I believe they're on S5 now. Mine does what I want though. I'm gradually falling behind again and will probably find myself in the same situation I was before I got the smartphone but I'm not all about having the newest gadgets, just the ones that work for m.

It was over 2 years before we married so I guess I'd become accustomed to him by then. That was 35 years ago. Love my phone!
