Yes, that's a good break down of the differences except that consummation of the relationship is not offspring. Offspring is the product of consummation. Consummation is the first time the couple has intercourse. Yes, the fact that they have not had children helps suggest that they never consummated the marriage. But the official who makes the decision about annulments would have to accept that as proof that they never consummated the marriage. And Darcy would have to agree to declare that they never consummated the relationship. He may or may not be willing to do so. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consummation

If anyone can get screencaps of the "next time on MM" tonight, please let me know - I don't know if there even is a Next Time preview, but if so I would LOVE to see some of Andrew Gower as Sherlock Holmes from next week's episode!

Yes those are the only official pictures at present - thanks anyway though : )
Well if anyone sees a promo, I'd love caps! And does someone upload the episodes to YouTube for UK viewers?

Season 6 starts tomorrow , monday in the UK. Yeah... Can't comment on anything right now and don't want to read spoilers but hopefully, if I have time in my hand, I will comment after episode 1. Hope season 6 is really good and that no one is missing and that W/J are kind of investigating together after an appalling season 5 exept for a few episodes. Shame that season 5 was not as great as season 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each time I see reruns of season 5, I only watched the episodes where Julia is in it because of the dynamic. I only seem to like the episodes where the whole team is there like the previous seasons. I know it's probably bizarre but I seem to do that with all shows. I did the same with Stargate SG1 and X-files. If season 6 is the last one, I hope it goes with a bang. In my wish, I would love to see William investigating the cases with Julia and going back to the office in the preccint for more clues, then the morgue to help Emily and then on the field again and all the cast is there with no one missing.

So we've all been speculating on what will happen to Darcy. Some think he'll get killed off to make it easier for W/J to marry. I thought this might happen at first too but now I'm not so sure. We're forgetting a simple fact. Back then when you were widowed, you were expected to mourn their passing for up to 2 years! Granted, Julia isn't your typical woman but even so, I'd think she'd still feel compelled to grieve for awhile. They aren't going to have her dressed in black and potentially not working. So unless Darcy dies at the end of the season and they skip ahead half a year for the next one (assuming we get another) then I don't see it as being a very feasible solution. The only other way it would work is if Darcy turns out to be a bad guy, like they sort of teased in Buffalo Shuffle. But I can't see that realistically being the case even if I've always personally thought he was somewhat of a shady character since we know so little about him.

I don't think it really matters if they get married or not to be honest. At least , W/J are together and as long as they are happy with each other, this is what really matters. Julia seems to have modern ways of dealing with things and I don't think W is really bothered. If they get married one day , then fine but where is the rush anyway!. A legal piece of paper....! So what! I am not sure we will see W/J getting married on the show. 2 weddings on the screen, don't think so but I think we will get a hint so something is right for them to move along. All I really want to see is both of them getting along personnally, may be some disagrements about the cases but that's all. I don't really care about what is happening to Darcy. I think the writers should concentrate on the cases and the team and get Darcy out of the storyline as fast as possible now. They should make the show a crime show in the 1900 with some great cases involving everyone but Darcy.Enough is enough about that love triangle and whatever it is

Wait and see, I go back to where William saw his future with a son and a wife. I disagree with saying season 5 wasn't as good. I think it was exceptionally good and is the reason season 6 was commissioned. Just my opinion of course.

I agree that for me I don't need to see W & J's wedding. But I would like them to be married and us get to see them as husband and wife with a child/ren. I would like to see them go through those challenges esp. knowing that that is what they both want for the future.

Why isn't Georgia Reilly in the credits? Emily is still guest star status.
I'd like to see W/J married purely because it would mean they couldn't mess with their relationship anymore if they were.

It's taking shape nicely. A terrific start to the new series last night. Nice to see all the characters there including Pendrick.
