Speaking of guests, I posted on the FB page that I thought Dame Nelly Melba would make a great guest for MM, especially with Brackenreid's love of opera. So you can guess my surprise when she popped up in Downton Abbey. Played by Dame Kirri no less. Wonderful!

It sounds as if Julia will be playing a major role, then! xD

We have been fans of MM since the beginning. However, since CBC took over, the episodes have become more and more fatuous each week. And now, after tonight's episode, "Murdochphobia", we learn re-runs are starting next week! The previous producers, Shaftsbury, did a far better job. If I wasn't for the actors, we would strike the series from our favourites list! The new stories are incredibly weak and the plots not even fit for B movies! Shame on the CBC!

I'm fairly certain that next week is a rerun because of Remembrance Day. After that, the airing of new episodes will resume.

OopsI I really need to see that episode again. Nevertheless I think it would be great to see Jasper re-appear. I just watched that episode and yes he did charm Julia a little, didn't he?

I was listening to an earlier interview that ArtScene did with Helene and Yannick when they were discussing what's to come in S7. I listened to it before S7 started but thought I'd listen to it again now that we've had a few episodes air.
Regarding the W/J romantic arc, Helene mentioned that once the really "great" episode dealing with the Gillies arc was over, they are free to be together and it would be the first time since S6 that they deal with it. She said the old feelings are ignited and they are revisiting the old romantic spark from the earlier days of their relationship. And she made the comment that many of us remember, that the fans will be very excited about what happens at the end of S7.
According to IMBd, Seater's episode airs Dec 2/13. Most networks go into reruns in Dec through to January. So that episode (or maybe there will be one more after that) would mark the end of the (unofficial) Part1 of S7. Don't know if we're getting some new episodes in January but I hope so as the Olympics are Feb 7-23/14. But for those of us fans who are routing for William and Jilliam, I imagine we will enjoy lots of romance again in the last half of this season. Heaven only knows we deserve it!!!
There was another interview they did that was not a video, where she mentioned bumps in the road such as Darcy's brother turning up and a major roadblock but all that aside, it looks like the Gillies episode will be the turning point for W/J.
I was always told that "good things come to those who wait". and wait, and wait......

It was to be expected that they'd draw W/J out until later in the season. They've got more episodes to fill. We've had a little W/J content in every episode, that is good enough for now. Then when we get the big romance it will be a natural progression.

Not really Season Seven Discussion but a couple of non-important questions popped into my head and wasn't sure where else to post them while we patiently wait for tomorrow's episode. You can probably tell that I've been watching old episodes lately 1) Has William even been inside Julia's home? I know he escorts her home often but do we know if he's ever been inside? 2) Have "we" ever been inside Julia's home?? 3) Did William sleep with Enid? After seeing her one evening it appears he was late to work the next morning and the Inspector seemed to make snide reference to what might have been the cause of that. William did not seem to protest that assumption. 4) Julia mentions that her father knows the Pendrick's (and was not too impressed by them, apparently). When they met, Sally Pendrick told Julia that her father talks about her accomplishments all the time. I wonder if that "connection" will ever come into play again in the series?

^ Murdoch may or may not have slept with Enid. In the books, he did (I think it was in let loose the dogs) but I'm not sure if he did in the tv show because it is different.
