That dress is from the episode in season 5 where/when Julia and Darcy gave a dinner party at their home. I'm not sure which episode - after Evil Eye of Egypt but before Stroll on the Wild Side.

Thanks Kaybee! I know which episode you're referring to now...can't recall the title right now, either but I should have it on PVR.

I'm a fairly new fan of MM but I must say I'm addicted. The season seven is going by so fast that I wonder by what date approximately will we know if there is going to be an eight season?

In the past couple of years CBC's press releases announcing returning series', etc. have come out in the beginning of April. So I imagine we will know by early April 2014 at the latest. I don't know if the shows "insiders" will tell MM fans earlier than that via Facebook or Twitter or whatever. Hope hope hope....

Hi. I am picking up on some themes from the MTTK episode. Since I have to wait for the new season to be aired here, I rely on these posts to keep me up to date. First--William shirtless?!!! Oh my. The writing on MM is at once brilliant and stupid. The major characters are well done, usually, but the supporting characters seem to be given short shrift. In addition, the writers don't pay enough attention to continuity. Fans watch these episodes over and over, and we notice all the details. They should hire someone to check the details. Gillies. Hmm. Wonderful performances, but, really, this is not The Terminator. As far and Julia and William are concerned, let's face it, more delays are simply not to be tolerated. We know they are attracted to each other. Yes, Julia and William were traumatized by Gillies tormenting them, but they need to get together. Does William ever visit Julia at her home? Remember the Green Muse episode? They were getting pretty frisky then, and we have not seen them that passionate since, except in fantasy scenes. It's the 20th century for goodness sake! It's time they stop this nonsense.

W/J have been lovers in the past. But they weren't during S6 while Julia was married and they have yet to be in S7. But Yannick or Helen did say the Gillies episode would be a turning point for their relationship and they're progress so I think they'll be lovers again soon.

Thanks, Murdochic. I'm glad to know I can expect good things in the future. We are so behind here, although the Ovation network is airing an episode a week, we are just finishing up S3. Still a ways to go. I did find the "Murdoch Effect" on the MM CBC site. It was clever and cute.
Enjoy tonight's episode.

I'm sure this will be true murdochic, but in what I've gleaned from a recent interview by Helene and Jonny, I gather there may be another bump in the road for W and J before we fans get our happy conclusion this season. I'm thinking the "bump" may be compliments of Julia's father or will be something to do with Leslie Garland. On another note, anyone know how many episodes will we see before the break for the Olympics in Feb?

But I think they'll be back together and probably lovers again before S7 ends. With 18 episodes this season they to drag it out. It's probably Leslie Garland related. He seems like he's going to be trouble for all the characters.

On another note, anyone know how many episodes will we see before the break for the Olympics in Feb? Here's the next few Journey to the centre of Toronto - Jan 13 Unfinished Business - Jan 20 The Murdoch Sting - Jan 27 ? - February 3 (most likely to be an episode here because the olympics haven't started yet) Then February 10 and 17, no episodes due to olympics. Then it'll resume on Feb 24!

I just haven't yet figured out exactly how he can negatively affect Julia. I believe at one time in Canada, a widow was left out of her deceased husband's estate unless he specifically named her as a beneficiary of each item in his will (family home, included)...in otherwords (as I understand it) there was no "right of survivor-ship" at the time. But it was also my understanding that by 1901, that had changed. Even if Leslie Garland somehow assumed ownership of Darcy's house because he has moved into it meaning that Julia could not sell it after all. I can't imagine that she would be needing the proceeds of the sale of the house in order to survive....so I don't think it would be about the money or her ability to marry William. But there must be some reason why it had to be Darcy's brother who came to town and not just some good looking guy with an eye for Dr Grace. I will be interested to see how it all pans out....I think .

By causing trouble between her and William. And other things.

By causing trouble between her and William. And other things. Yes, I guess he could still be blaming her even though the courts proved otherwise. And remember when Julia was so upset in S6 about Darcy's new house being so close to hers and he would know her comings and goings as a result? Hmmm. I guess I'll just enjoy the present moment for now as I can't figure out Leslie's reason for being just yet.

Hi Everyone.
I ran across a reference to the Canadian International Television Festival and the November screening of Loch Ness Murdoch. I cannot view the screening with the Q&A here in the states. Does anyone have any advice on how I might see it?
Thanks
