Haven't watched them yet...I'm waiting for my Season 4 dvd to come from Netflix, so I'm trying to spread them out and keep the Murdoch-ness coming! The three "extras" are all very different flavors. Curse of the Pharaohs has a lot of comic book panels and some fun George POV on the characters. The Murdoch Effect is almost situation comedy, with a side helping of Jilliam that must have come as super relief after Season 4. Nightmare on Queen Street is sort of like an episode with a horror twist. I couldn't view the whole thing, though.

From what I've seen so far (the first two episodes) of "Curse of the Lost Pharoahs," it has a lot less to do with George's imagination per se, but is more of a caricature of the dime novels that were popular during the time. Even the illustrations are akin to the colorful covers of these cheap literary episodes. This image of one of the novels looks familiar...a saucily dressed woman, overacting, and extreme danger!

I think TV writers are in love with these dime novels: their dramatic structure was probably close to what a TV show requires, too. These dime novels are sewn into Brisco County Jr. and another "Weird West" show of the era called Legend. However, since MM crosses over into the Twentieth Century, William's adventures got to be filmed for posterity!!!

Ok...I made it to episode 7! Hopefully be done soon, but it doesn't help that I take a about a dozen screencaps after each episode

I have yet to get through the whole thing. I mean, I watched the beginning and end but it was so campy and cringe worthy that I couldn't force myself to watch the entirety of it. Should give it another go I suppose, like I did with the books, which I now am actually enjoying a fair amount even though he's just slept with Enid).
