Almost left out one of the best keys to William's dark subconscious! How could I forget William's chloroform dream of Dominatrix Cabaret Julia in I, Murdoch? What does it mean...? XD  Since lovemondays brought it up in the discussion , I'll add William's cheesy attempt at seduction from Future Imperfect, lol. I'm starting to wonder if this really was an accident. >.>  William doing a rather cheesy eyebrow waggle:  William discovering the accessories for the "dark places".  From this other post. Why do I get the feeling that we can probably find more instances of William's hands in the perv cookie jar if we're actually looking for it? *I think we should start by keeping an eye out for "saucy" postcards or those little rose booklets in his desk drawers.

So CosmicCavalcade actually wrote an Epic Graphic Caption Saga Cycle, worthy of someone's Viking ancestors, about William and Julia's happy meet-up for "sexy play time" during the Green Muse. It cracks me up that people were spotting, and writing send ups of, "perv" William way before I was. There's even a chapter where Julia catches William in the act of " inappropriate looking" - roflmao! We can only hope. Tumblr doesn't give the exact date, but over a year ago, CosmicCavalcade titled a post "Murdoch, you Perv", and posted a few pics. There's also a curious similarity in habitually posting pictures with funny captions. I suspect we're dealing with a Doppelganger, albeit one with superior video editing skills. >.> Canada, which also spawned Orphan Black, must be up to something sneaky. Wow! Ask and ye shall receive!  What the heck is going on here? Brackenreid making some inappropriate and rather disrespectful moves on Julia? Why does Julia look like Betty Boop? William is just standing by while Julia gets, um, "manhandled"? Emily looks scared! George looks confused! Now that's...interesting? I don't know what to make of it, but it definitely belongs in the Perv section. CC knew what was what long before I saw my first episode of MM. Earlier I was just pondering upon the nature of William's pervitude. The "inappropriate staring" seems to suggest something along the lines of the traditional male gaze: he is speculating what might happen if he "adjusts Julia's gear" in various ways. Or he's fancying himself the hunter and Julia the prey. Yet...there's something else about all that tie-byplay, the I Murdoch Dominatrix scene, and William's uber-uptightness in general which makes me think the first time Julia snaps a tie at him he's going to go weak at the knees thinking: OMG that turned me on so much is that a sin oh no do I have to bring it up at confession... Anyway, I don't know which way this perv wheel is turning. Thoughts? Considering Psychic!Julia's ability to share William's fantasies - I think he must have some "tells". You know how cheesy he can get when he's trying to be seductive with Julia (yet for some reason not with Anna?) - the hooded eyes, the weird stilted speech. I think when he daydreams he probably gets a speculative or shaded look on his face, and Julia eventually figured out what that look meant. Hopefully she interprets it in a flattering way! |
