Very true. Think of the beginning of "All Tattered and Torn" and at the end of "Midnight Train to Kingston". In both instances he truly is undone emotionally. They are very special moments because we don't get that much access to the true inner man. Wait - what? I thought you loathed angst!?

I loved that line (especially because I hate sports - all the more when it's just sports on TV). On the other hand, I don't think MM should make sly digs at TV-watching...because that's biting the hand that feeds them. I read it more as William staying true to form...reading is a passion. Lovemondays got it. MM was not trashing sports on TV, WM was saying he'd rather read than watch a sporting event since he liked playing sport instead. I think it was also another in long gunning gag about William's not having a clue about future events.

Signs seem to point at an opening for me semester in January. Until then, I'm occupying myself with finishing my masters, obsessing over context in MM, and being the world's worst housewife. It could be se wor! This reminds me of the time I was on a tour with my students and during a conversation I mentioned I saw the Beatles live in 1964. It was amazing--their eyes filled with wonder and they began peppering me with dozens of questions. It was pretty funny.

They weren't anywhere near as interested in my actual qualifications as they were in my opinions on the state of education vis a vis the union! That was a real eye opener. Ouch! Politics. I have to go out and get a real job right now. Feeling the yuckiness of the world.

Well, Mikaela talked about Yannick's 'uniform' in her "15 things you didn't know about Yannick". He wears predictable variations of tshirts with shorts or khakis. I laughed so hard. Even in the pictures of him from Paris he's primarily in jeans, except for the gala when he wore a suit, open neck shirt, not tie. *sigh*. There is a lovely picture of Yannick and Chantelle but I can't share it because of the privacy settings. It's funny to discuss him like this in the Perv thread when he is so clearly NOT! Where did you see these pictures, Snacky? lovemondays saw the pictures. Not sure where.

Yes. Don't get me wrong-I enjoy seeing glimpses of William in just his undershirt, but they're special because they're so fleeting and unusual. I think just the vest specifies a delicious amount of being undone that's in contradiction to his character. Plus, he looks damn good like that as well. I think you missed my point here ... JUST! Perhaps I did, but it gave me an opportunity to think about shirtless William.

I am a romantic to my very core and angst is a part of that journey. (My favourite book is "Pride and Prejudice". Big surprise .) My problem with angst is the endless, artificial, often ridiculous 'let's throw roadblocks in here willy-nilly' that is so prevalent in TV drama. William being undone emotionally is an essential part of his (very fine) character development. Not to mention his hot bod in an undershirt.

Chantelle is wearing a low-cut black dress and pearls and Yannick is in a suit with a tie-less white shirt. I'll keep trying to import it here.

Including the hot bod in the undershirt... Which is why I like to think of angsty scenarios that William can struggle to resolve in bed.

If they are on Instagram, right click, and use "view background image" to get the link instead of "view image". If the pic is on Twitter, don't click to get the big one. Right click while it's still in the Twitter feed to get "view image".

I hazard to say you include the willy-nilly occasionally to achieve just that result .
