The Adjustment Bureau: Magic Homburg

In the movie The Adjustment Bureau, the magic hats of the Divine Bureaucracy to find and open inter-dimensional doorways, and they open the door to meeting the "Chairman" himself. Quite a few of these hats were homburgs.

Kind of makes you wonder where William's magic homburg really came from.

I woke up the other morning and the word "Homburgers" just popped into my head as a ridiculous but useful moniker for MM fans.

Well it really does play into the way William's personality hardens or softens depending on whether that well-made homburg is on or off his head.

Hmm, haven't noticed that William's personality actually changes. I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

Though I did notice he gets more dreamy (perhaps in both senses of the term) when the homburg and jacket are off, and he's just wearing the vest.

I actually own a black homburg, almost identical to Murdoch's, but I don't wear it very often... I feel it needs a particular type of clothes to make it look really good.

I'm not quite in the right mind-lifestyle place to do this yet, but there are lots of steampunk and historical theme events in the area where I live that I'm starting to get tempted to try. But I think I'd look better in a top hat!

I windowshop and fantasize a lot. Though I don't live far away, so if you cut out the shipping and handling, some of the stuff might be affordable... XD

I have to admit that period dressing had never been one of my fantasies. The clothes look great on the actors but I would find them so uncomfortable! Pretty much the only thing I WOULD weAr is the hat. I am sure they are pricey though.
