I think KRC is supposed to be on Centre Island, it doesn't actually exist however there is a grandstand. I agree with that. Also, Ward's Island 'Inn' was the setting for Staircase to Heaven. Ward's Island is a part of what is generally referred to as Centre Island so you could just 'stick a pin in it'. Yes, Ward's Island Inn is also set on Ward's/Centre Island but it wouldn't have been filmed there. Not sure if there ever was an inn on the island.

I keep forgetting to add the Gooderham Building, 49 Wellington Street East which was used as Brackenreid's lair in The Murdoch Effect.

I think it's just the Queen's Hotel. Queen Street is a whole other ballgame. It's Queen's Hotel in the pin - I was just tired and made a typo above. Also I grokked somewhere that Julia currently lives on Linden St....? Yes it is Linden Street and I believe Julia actually says address in Twisted Sister, I think.

I need some help from the photo-tech queens. I've got all these MM location screencaps (about 400) saved on my laptop. I whittled it down to about 140 shots and have downloaded them to a tablet using dropbox for portability. What I want to do now is find the right tool to help me tag the locations, as I find them, with actual addresses and other info. I've looked at photobucket and picasa but I'm not sure if they're right for the job. Any suggestions? I'm hoping to try adding info on the Hamilton tour tomorrow.

I think you should start by putting them in photobucket. Put them in their own album, and make the album "public". You can add keywords to the "description" field after you upload them. I would put the place in the "title" field, too. Once they are in photobucket, we can figure out how to add them other places, or we can just refer to them in photobucket.

From what I gather, there will be a fairly large MM brain-trust assembled that would be idiotic not to tap.

Talking of tours of Toronto, a couple of us are doing a tour of the Hamilton, ON filming locations. If anyone within driving distance of Hamilton is interested it's on Nov 2 starting at 2pm. We're limiting the numbers as some of the locations are private. We have 5 vehicles driving the route and there are a couple of spots open but you'll have to let me know pretty soon. Spots are on a first come, first serve basis. We're also having dinner at a local restaurant after the tour. Please PM me if you'd like to book a spot and or dinner. We had such a good time in Hamilton today! Lots of laughs and Murdochatter . Thank you Talbotrail for working it out (and not completely losing your mind in the process ). I'll post some pics after I figure out how to reduce the file size.

You can 'save for web' and it reduces the size.

Like Lovemondays, I have to thank you so much for allowing me to come on this adventure. it was great fun to see those spots that make the show look so authentic, especially the Pumphouse! Gotta love those little round windows! Up until fairly recently I had never thought of Hamilton as anything more than that "steel town" at the edge of the lake. There are so many beautifully preserved houses and churches, and very old looking industrial places that I now have a completely different view of the place. And it was great to meet and gab with fellow Murdoch Maniacs.

If you mean the one with the tower in front, no, it's not in Hamilton.

I like how photobucket gives me enough space to tag the pics with a lot of the info I want attached to each.

I like how photobucket gives me enough space to tag the pics with a lot of the info I want attached to each. Don't use Add Attachment anymore - that's what fills up the space here. Use the picture widget - third button in, right after the one that looks like a letter. Paste the Direct Link (the one that ends with .jpg) in the top space). The picture should appear immediately in your post.

I don't think there is much I can help with here-but if you guys need (more!) screencaps of specific buildings or things just let me know.
