It's very well possible that she was in better care before Dr. Roberts died. I'd like to think that anyways. I've been hoping that, too!

Julia said she didn't know the condition the women were kept in as she worked in a different part of the hospital. How many Drs. know what goes on in departments they don't work in even now? Once she found out about the conditions she was determined to improve them. Yet she seemed to know exactly where to go to deal with "the incurables", and she didn't have any immediate reaction to the horror of their conditions. I'm not buying this.

Just because she knew where ward C was doesn't mean she'd been there before. She was more concerned about the nurse who's body was rather forcefully 'shoved in her face', albeit on the other side of the door, when she arrived.
