Yummy...Yannick looks soooo good on a horse! I second that emotion! And I want him to say "I am the law!" again!

I could totally see the whole miscarriage happening...in fact I've written a fic where she had several miscarriages before she finally conceived. Needless to say that strained their relationship... About the horse. It seems like they've forgone the bike this season. But hopefully it only seems like that since the bike is a part of his personality...and the source of his fine legs. The miscarriage would probably be too harsh/real for the TV show, but I do see it happening for the situation character. I do need to get to that fic! Yes, I also noticed that in season 7 as the world moved up to cars, Station House 4 moved up to carriages. Also William himself grew more prosperous. But yes, the bike will be missed. I'm sure they will keep it on at least as a leisure exercise/park thing. It's as iconic as the homburg!

Oh well the fic I'm referring to is a monster in length and also it is an AU so her miscarriages were just a fluke of nature and nothing to do with any abortion in her past. Probably should have mentioned that earlier...but I still see it as a viable scenario for her character in the show. They did say it was going to be 10% darker so... They've got plenty of stock footage they can use so I'm not worried about never seeing it again.

They've got plenty of stock footage they can use so I'm not worried about never seeing it again. Despite my penchant for angst, I'm fine if 99.9999 percent of it is implied rather than dramatized on screen. When Julia and William are married, I do hope she looks into trying to conceive just because I think it fits in to the 19th century medical science angle of the show, and it's an obvious point for character development. That does seem to open the door to a miscarriage, but if that did happen, I'd want it to be part of a larger story somehow, and not a "soap opera" with Julia sobbing in William's arms over her miscarriage. If there is a miscarriage, I'd like to see it as impetus for some decision in Julia's life, like opening a women's clinic again. I liked how the whole abortion thing was handled: especially the class difference between the way it was addressed. Ps. I HATE BIRTH SCENES! I'm not quite sure why. Maybe there are way too many on American shows, and they seemed geared toward maudlin housewives. But sometimes when I hear some random "helpful stranger" yelling "PUSH!", I want to throw a rock at my TV. Julia better not be giving birth to no babies on MM. Please just no.

The rugrat him or herself might be annoying, but it's also the birth scene itself I can't stand. It is such a cliche in American television. Perhaps I would appreciate it more if I was inclined to actually go through the process of giving birth some time myself. Perhaps many women find it somehow nostalgic to watch the re-creation of one of their "rites of passage". But I just find it annoying no matter how it's done. I've never seen it done in a way that I thought should be demonstrated in detail on TV. I've always felt the actual having of the baby should be talking place in the background somewhere, with some privacy for the mother, lol. At least scream something other than, "PUUUUSH!!!" It's been done.

Just to register it in this thread: Carco is satisfied that Julia's angst over not being able to give William a son (and the possibility other women might be able to) is balanced by William's angst that Darcy might have been able to "arouse Julia's passions" more as a lover. i.e. William looked overly concerned in The Kissing Bandit at the idea that the accountant lost his girlfriend to the lothario because he wasn't "the type" to "make grand gestures". I seriously doubt William is boring in bed. In fact, if he hasn't thoroughly experimented in whatever interests him I'm sure he's done great research into relevant topics and is very eager to test his theories. But that doesn't mean the question of what Darcy did won't always be hanging over him like a rival's shadow...

It's not a Runaway Bride after all... William and Julia were trying to enjoy an ad hoc honeymoon in between being dragged around for various photo ops with Teddy Roosevelt when suddenly....JULIA GETS KIDNAPPED BY INDIANS! Actually they are probably some other political faction disguised as Native Americans, and you know they are bad because I used the term Indians instead of Native Americans. William has a tremendous case of blue you-know-what because they could not get the honeymoon started with all the trouble going on - thus the grim look on his face as he rides to the rescue of his bride. Julia meanwhile single-handedly kung fu fights her way through her captors and finds shelter with a kindly medicine woman who happens to know a thing or two about curing infertility. She is just on the verge of telling Julia what herbs she must use when William breaks into the tent and --

I totally hate that I can see a miscarriage happening...along with the depression, marital distance and general audience angst . About William's legs , I'm happy with horses or bikes for his workout. Does anybody else's heart start going pitter pat when William is riding a fine steed? Yup. I like the bike too, but there is something just inherently sexy about horses. They are such beautiful creatures. Just picturing William and Julia together on a horse ....

Too bad I don't have more time this morning to follow through on that.

I'm not quite sure how this ended up in the Kill Snacky thread rather than the Connubial Bliss thread, but occasionally when I threaten to do a thing, I do follow through and do that very naughty thing. And this is sooooo naughty, lol. Enjoy~

Oh dear, your PS skillz are getting a little TOO good. xD lol, thank you: it took me less than an hour - that's my own test of PS skillz for entertainment purposes are concerned. I didn't think I'd be able to do it since Grande Caps is still down, but thankfully I had one pic that worked. I'm really the indoor lingerie romance type myself, but Eus and lovemondays may get a little tingle from this.
