The one before that one had the funny face: I don't know how I get them this big I just view image and copy the url. Look at the husband...he seems to be more taken with Yannick than his wife. Either that or she's been hollering Yannick's name at inopportune moments and the hubby is plotting a takedown. Maybe it's like William's interest in Dr. Tash in Still Waters? "What has he got, and how can I get it?" He did strike me as very even-keeled in his interview: I doubt he's plotting murder, hahahaha. Luckily Yannick has been to America, so his face is probably: Yep, these are Americans.

Americans are taught to "fake it til you make it". The reason they get so invested in overbearing foreign policy is that is America being an important badass on the world stage even if we are not. When you meet the loud, brash, confident American, they are hollow inside. Try talking to one for more than 5 minutes, and you'll see! LOL! Are you really American? I wish there were more like you. A breath of fresh air. The majority of the ones I know are just like you have described them. haha, that's so kind. I'm just honest about the circumstances Americans are in and what those circumstances produce. I think the last real "value" we have is "freedom" (* hides from NSA*), but really America is like a playdoh machine that produces people that don't matter. Everything else you see is a sad consequence of that. I'm not different: just not in any condition right now to be obnoxious. I will say the struggle of young Americans is to try to beat this system. * flees to Canada*

I've had lots of exposure to Americans through my travels. IMHO, no other nation does patriotism the way the U.S. does. That is a great thing. Unfortunately, on the world stage, it can come across as arrogance. Just an observation.

Unfortunately, on the world stage, it can come across as arrogance. Just an observation. It's a very interesting irony. America is supposed to be about individualism and freedom while shunning socialism, corporatism, or anything that might subsume the apotheosis of the individual. Yet because these individuals lead meaningless lives, they do end up subsuming themselves in the idea of "American Patriotism" or, worse "American Exceptionalism": that allows the puny individual to puff themselves up behind a giant American flag. I hope that enables you to understand the arrogance somewhat better.

Hi there. I just read a great blog post about the open house by Bruce in the City.
Here's the link bwcmanagement.com/ But, uh, he spelled it wrong...which does MM no favors Google marketing wise. Also, why are all his blogroll businesses? I'm kind of suspicious. Update: lol, he called out Yannick on Twitter: Yannick retweeted him and corrected his spelling. XD What is up with misspelling the name of the show?

It's unbelievable the number of people on FB who can't get it right even though the title is right there! I think we just figured out why Ovation changed the name...

There's a note at the end about an editor so I'm leaving a little leeway for the possibility of a visually disabled person who mainly listens to the show. Or perhaps the person can watch, but is only able to dictate: in any case, it's hard to believe anyone who has actually seen MURDOCH MYSTERIES for episode after episode could repeatedly misspell it in their blog post. Something odd is going on there. It's a real shame about the call out on Twitter, though, lol. If the person is visually impaired, and translation services regularly gets the spelling wrong, I hope he makes it known. I noticed this on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=emr4C8P_VqQ&list=PLPnhVsQPt8j95Y_nmOUp_PFzNphqJNXzzhmm, and here: Actually a lot on Pinterest...wtf: maybe a bunch of people trying to exploit the popularity who never actually watched it so who don't know the spelling? lol, journalist fact check phail. www.cambridgetimes.ca/whatson-story/3876471-murdock-mysteries-returns-to-film-in-cambridge/www.tumblr.com/tagged/murdock-mysteriesThis is my favorite: it smuggles in a "get rich quick" video under Murdock Mysteries www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE9294EC80459173F

My word, I had not noticed all the misspellings. It is irritating. By the way, I am an American too, and I am sorry that so many of my country men and women behave so badly, although I disagree (or maybe I just hope) that most Americans are like that it's just that the ones who behave like jerks are so loud and so obnoxious that it makes it seem like there are more of them than there really are. Just look at that video with the truly obnoxious fan. (I cringe when I see, or even think about it) Her behavior is so bad that it overshadows everything else. If I didn't know better that video could have been a parody in a SNL skit--she hit all of the characteristics of the stereotypical ugly American perfectly.
I loved yb's expression in that photo. The poor man.

Is that Murdock guy American? That would be the frosting on the cookie, lol.
I'm still holding out hope it's a matter of dictation/translation for the visually impaired. Perhaps Dragon Dictate tends to go with Murdock? But people should realize this error is occuring. Don't tweet it to Yannick hahaha! XD

I travelled to Toronto for the MME from Ireland and met up with UK MM friends. The set tour was amazing but my camera died. As others have said the attention to detail was fantastic. It's a very unassuming building from the outside, but once you enter it's fantastic and you really appreciate what they create from so little resources. The set is amazing and I'm watching MM in a whole new light since getting home. Craig (the prop guy) was awesome and is so dedicated to what he does. Talked to Peter Mitchell and a guy from Shaftesbury who said the fans would be blown away by S8. We were shown a sneak peek of S8 (about 15 minutes) and sworn to secrecy...all I can say that is AWESOME!! My lips are sealed.
We were also lucky to receive a 'tip' about filming on location in Gage Park in Hamilton. This was one of the best days of the trip....watching the magic happen! I feel so privileged to have travelled and would return in a heartbeat even though the jetlag is a killer.

I know it's a cliché but I really love Murdoch Mysteries....found it by accident on Alibi TV. Unfortunately it doesn't get the recognition or airtime on major TV channels over here. I was amazed to find that Canadian 'locals' had never seen it, so I spread the word....it would have been rude not to
