But wait...what was this mysterious flaw in James "Pendrake"? Don't leave out the punchline! This can't be real. Maybe someone trolling? That's all she wrote ......... so far. Hmmm, maybe "Bruno" and "Bruce" ticked her off and she won't make anymore posts now? So do nitpickers get annoyed when someone nitpicks about their spelling? sigh.... It wouldn't surprise me. After having read about people attacking Robin William's' daughter over social media the past few days because it's obviously her fault her father committed suicide, this is why I keep my social media account strictly friends only.

I still think it could be a troll engaging in jackassery.

Yet another reason why I'm glad I don't have a personal FB/Twitter account. I still recommend Dave Egger's "The Circle" as a good book about what turning your life over to social media does to your soul. Or how it desoulifies you.

The poor soul, lol. She probably thought she had discovered something about the show that no one else had. I don't know why she didn't just say it the first time around, or the second. It wouldn't have mattered anyway. She still would have had to tell us about "Mr Pendrake". Perhaps in a couple of days, she might pluck up the courage to tell us what she wanted to say. I hope she is not the sensitive type .

And I have a mind open to visual impairments, errors caused by use of assistive technologies, and other disability-related issues.

These people come up there and proclaim it’s the best show ever, their favorite show and all that stuff and then it turns out they’ve only watched part of one solitary episode. How do you critic a show you’ve not watched in detail or know anything about? I agree, there’s a lot of trolling going on there or you think these are simply juvenile and poorly educated people that can’t spell?

I just read that Twitter has a lot of bots that respond automatically to certain key phrases. Could FB have those, too? If not bots, there could be very low paid 3rd world workers: the reason they are hooking on to the MM Facebook posts is because they are doing some other form of social media marketing and hooking on to the tag where they think some "audience" is.

I don’t know much about these bots (and I believe they exist like you pointed out) but I do know that in reality, people generally like good things, even the worst kind of people. They would attach themselves to the most popular thing or person around with the hope that it makes them look good too. Instead, their own ugliness and bad conduct tarnishes the good. FB being an internet thing, I am not sure MM caretakers have much control, if any, about the people that get on their sites. What to do….?

Somehow FB seems to just bring out "teh stupid" in people, too. Who knows why that is.

Snacky, I forget where you mentioned the book, "The Circle" but thought I mention that I picked it up at the library, er, Ideas Unlimited (as they call themselves now) on Friday and finished it Sunday! Don't know why but I assumed it was non-fiction which of course, it isn't. On one hand it seems far-fetched but then again.....not so much. Very interesting and enjoyable read, thanks for mentioning it.

Canada calls the library Ideas Unlimited? *jots this down for the next time I decide to apply for a library science degree* Definitely fiction, but, as a person who lives a stones throw from Facebook, Twitter, Google, and LinkedIn, I have to say I wasn't so sure it was fiction while I was reading it.

Reminds me of things my mother told me about working under Marble Arch in London, Eng. during WW2...warning signs all over saying things like "Beware The Walls Have Ears", etc. At the risk of scaring people off this forum (and note I'm still participating - a lot - here), I want to throw in a caution about the ease of aggregation of information on the Internet. It's frighteningly easy for bad guys to connect your info from a variety of places these days. So be careful not to put too much personal information out there: especially if you do maintain a public "social" site that would serve as a sort of glue to put everything together.
