William probably just made the periscope out of available materials, a swiss army knife, and duct tape! DEAR LORD SOMEONE TELL ME WILLIAM INVENTED DUCT TAPE!!!!! Not quite...but let's just say Julia was rather peeved when she awoke. Not quite the cuddly wake up call and breakfast in bed she expected...? I think William forgot he is competing with Darcy here.

I can read only top lvl tweets and saw tanya lemke's about the sex toys, too- I'll clip it when I get home.XD William still so needy even when he's getting some? hmmm... Saw a sickening tweet proclaiming Gemily victory. Hope we have enough votes to sway that one. Sigh. Sex toys? You mean the periscope bit? xD Ugh, and now CBC is asking us to tell us who we prefer. Edna or Emily. They retweeted me at least. I picked Edna and said Emily doesn't need a man. So that's something. I don't do Twitter. I liked Emily in this ep. She was kicking butt, especially as a driver. For George I am still favouring Edna. Emily has work to do. Am still contemplating how to say this on FB without bringing the wrath of demons upon myself.

So that's something. hmm, I hope they aren't deliberately trying to whip up a "fan war". That could easily backfire into "CBC didn't do what I want so I'm going to hightail it out of here and take my over 9000 friends with me". But thanks for throwing in "Emily doesn't need a man" lol! I'll find Tanya Lemke's tweet later after I catch up with the forum. She always cracks me up. I think there may have been a raunchy exchange going on with Prop Monkey as well. Btw, I posted elsewhere that the vibrator really was invented around this time. A lot of people said Emily right off the bat but CBC retweeted both sides pretty evenly. One person said neither of them and that got retweeted too. I think he'll date Edna for awhile but the endgame is clearly going to be Emily this season. She was obviously pinning after him again this ep.

...I'm not sure Julia has enough American money on her to pay for damages. Apparently all the reward money for saving the President's life is already spent...

I wish we saw that dynamic more...like Julia and George. Both the ladies like to tease their 'siblings.'

I think for me, the bits with Emily and Brax were my favourite because she's constantly sassing his archaic notions about everything and he has no clue how to handle her. Don't get me wrong, the Jilliam stuff was good but since they can't really show anything it wasn't exactly spectacular. He may have had his tie off though during the pervy periscope scene...but I can't be sure. The problem with Emily all along is there hasn't been enough material there for fans to get a good grasp on her character. It sounds like this season the writers may be putting a little more meat on her bones, and the audience will be able to invest a little more.

See, I love the idea of Emily, if only the writers would figure out how they want to portray her (please let it be sassy Emily), she could be a great character. But the writers can't decide if she's going to be sensitive, a ballbuster, or a girl with sass who knows how to appropriately behave when the situation calls for it. I'm voting for the last one. Again, I like Emily, she adds a touch of lighthearted darkness to the show, but she's wrong for George. However, I think they'd make good friends. I hope the writers leave them that way.

We still don't have William sans tie around Julia? Argh!!! The show's being such a tease! Maybe they are holding the tie in reserve for when they need to take out the BIG CANNONS...

This is why I've not been a fan of Emily, she's never been the same in any episode. Perhaps they've finally decided on what she should be.

He told Julia not to use the water closet...and before that she saw the glass had been taken out of her mirrors. Now, how he had the tools to take apart their plumbing, I don't know...hopefully he can put it back together again...I'm not sure Julia has enough American money on her to pay for damages. I thought about the mirror afterwards, he must have made the whole thing but not sure if he got all the pipe from the WC. Was Julia missing her opera glasses?

So now Murdoch's protected Julia from flying dirt (Journey to centre of Toronto) and attempted to protect her from dust. I think Murdoch is a bit of a germaphobe. Not sure if they knew about germs back then but he's definitely a germaphobe. Oh and this totally explains his aversion to digging!!
