Is it just me, or does the burnout/fade look like an atom bomb? Seriously, just what kind of secrets are we talking about here?

That effect is weird, but I agree with CC's Tumblr comment: it could just be an avant-garde marketing team doing their version of an attention-grabbing marketing campaign. I thought the Oscar Wilde one was a little more period-appropriate, unless you look at this one as the burning page of a book. The effect does seem a bit video-game CGI for TV. Between "Nightmare on Queen Street" and the detailed way the MM laid out the "map" and "items" for the Open House, I keep thinking someone had (or has) a video game in mind here. They might have been pre-empted by the popularity of tthe MM mod of Organ Trail, though, hahahaha.

So, I tried to play the original Oregon Trail with the MM characters, and James Gillies WOULD NOT DIE!!!!!!! If he was the character to get sick, I just ignored it and kept on-thinking I would sacrifice him-NOPE! Meanwhile, Brax kept breaking various limbs, it was frustrating and I just eventually gave up. Le sigh.
