Is this the same as the Murdoch Mysteries Appreciation Society?

There's an awful lot of closed MM groups there. I've liked the main MM page, but I'm hesitant to join FB groups because I don't necessarily want my fandom to intersect with my RL.
This is why I miss LiveJournal.

This is why I miss LiveJournal. I miss LJ too. This is also why I can't use FB. I have a job that requires me to use FB, so I can't risk some sort of mixing up. And I don't want to be logging in and out of accounts all the time either. But I also think MM's marketing team focusing on courting FB is just stupid. All their work just goes into a black hole since nothing there leaves Google tracks. I don't see many ambassadors from FB coming to spread Word of Mouth out to the forum masses. They seem pretty inbred to me. I suspect that's where our forum admins went. I wonder what would happen if a US company bought LJ back from the Russians... Word of Mouth seems broken in general. I'll be damned if I can figure out where to post my Buzzfeed video list so it will go anywhere. It got like 5 hits from Reddit. But the first person to figure out anything certainly isn't going to post it on the Internet because they have a shot at being snapped up by a San Francisco guerilla marketing company with a salary offer in the high six figures.

I don't even know what Live Journal is. I guess it was before my time.

I checked and there's a not-really-active LJ community for MM here: murdoch-mystery.livejournal.com/randomkiwibirds posted icons there (common practice on LJ), which she didn't do here. I don't see a lot of icon posting on Tumblr either. Is there another place people go to do that after LJ communities die? I don't think FB posting is particularly friendly to fan art activities like mass icon posting. I'm thinking I should raid that LJ group for the icons and move some of that bling over here. If anyone sees randomkiwibirds active anywhere could someone ask her permission on that?

I don't even know what Live Journal is. I guess it was before my time. LJ is the mothership of all that is fandom! The original "We Read Crap So You Don't Have To" fanfic reviews were on LJ, too! Source: See Above! Lol having fun with that gif are we? You've been using it a lot recently. It always makes me laugh because it looks so fake.

Also made a bunch of south park cartoon character thingies but I don't think anyone has ever really used them for their avatars. Well, except for me of course. Kiwi hasn't even been on tumblr in a long time so I think she's kinda moved on from MM or just super busy. I do believe someone recently made a bunch of cute mini's of the characters that could be used as avatars.

I do believe someone recently made a bunch of cute mini's of the characters that could be used as avatars. I saw those - they're called "chibi" in Japanese, and it's a regular thing to do in manga/anime/gaming communities. Kind of cool to see how fan culture internationalizes like that. For example: gen8.deviantart.com/art/Chibi-Maker-1-1-346025144

I think I knew that...my sister is really into manga and whatnot. She thinks she's an otaku. Is that how you spell that?
