Scones are too too dry - American biscuits with butter rule! Actually I think a fresh crumpet, toasted on a griddle, with a lot of butter, is quite yummy. *misses England* But I miss those caramel shortbread thingies more. I would try that if I didn't have such terrible allergies to butter, cheese and such. Besides, if you have to throw them in frustration, scones would make a much harder impact! . Ooh no wonder you don't like crumpets. They are all about the toppings! That's what the holes are for!

Eyeing this place for store-bought crumpetery: I think I'll check it out today to see if what they carry is any different from local grocery stores: www.yelp.com/biz/euromix-delicatessen-oaklandAccording to Yelp, I may have to go into San Francisco if I want bakery fresh. Grr. Though it might be fun to check out a "tea house" or two if I do have to go back into the city. I wish I had thought of this yesterday.

Right before someone spooks the horses and the carriage goes over a cliff?

While the dress isn't as spectacular as I'd hoped, I think it's the same dress, and that I'm not hating everything as much in that light. It'll be interesting to see what's real, and what's a nightmare scenario.

I guess I'd wish she'd get away from the bolero jacket suits and high necks. I think I preferred her in skirts and blouses, but I can see now that she's operating in a more professional capacity, she needs the power suits. I just wish her wedding dress was a little different than basically a satin version of her current uniform, but I guess the costume designer is obsessed with high necks for some inexplicable reason. Plus, I guess I have to remember, that risque wedding dresses weren't really done back in the day. Me, I embraced the opportunity to wear something that I wouldn't usually wear, and my friends basically the same.

I don't think you're hiding anything anyone doesn't already know about you there, Jules!

She is a woman with a scandalous past, but maybe she's trying to respect William's beliefs and be demure in church. What would Father Clemens say if she appeared in an off white/light blue version of her red dress? I think it would be great, but perhaps not the most appropriate of sartorial choices given the era. It would probably be anachronous somehow. Still, maybe she changes for the reception?

I can't wait to see what that "most scandalous outfit ever seen on MM" is - too scandalous to be shown on Twitter? I hope the episode ends on that! But it's probably for the New York episode.

Vaguely related: I thought of something funny yesterday, but I'm not quite sure if I can make it work. I need to be more familiar with the neighborhoods of Toronto to do it. Could someone list here or YM me with a list of: 1) The most posh neighborhoods/streets in Toronto (where Julia might want to live) 2) The name of the neighborhood/section where William currently lives. 3) The neighborhoods covered by Station House 4 4) If possible, "discount" areas or suburbs where William might consider building a house. Number 1 is the most important - I need as many specific names as possible. Please help! Off the top of my head: Posh Areas--Rosedale: Bloor Street, Sherbourne Street, Jarvis Street and Rosedale Valley Road ** Julia probably grew up in one of these 2 Forrest Hill: Forest Hill Road, Austin Terrace, St. George Street and Spadina Avenue ** The Annex: Davenport Road, St. George Street Cabbagetown: Wellesley Road and Sherbourne Street. Cheaper Areas:The Beaches: Queen Street East Kensington: Baldwin Street The Ward: College Street, Queen Street West, Yonge Street, University Avenue Chinatown: Spadina Avenue I need to do some research for the areas around SH4 and 22 Ontario Street.

In a sign that I need help, I just blew this picture up to see if William is wearing a ring. I need help. In case you were wondering, I don't think he was. But I suppose it's not impossible.

Oh, still a sad excuse of a dress. What we have to keep in mind is that daytime wear, even for a bride, required full length sleeves. William looks adorable as usual.

But I suppose it's not impossible.I think he is, it's very hard to see but I think I'm seeing a slightly different colour in the place the ring would be. ....I just opened this up in PS and added pixels to allow me to enlarge it further and there is definitely a ring on that finger.

I can accept the sleeves-what kills me is the bodice-so fussy, frilly and modest. The neckline on her other wedding dress showed more skin-she's so covered up it's disconcerting. And the veil! Yuck! But maybe she only wears it for the ceremony and tosses it out of the carriage on the way to their reception. And yes, William looks totally adorable!
