In a sign that I need help, I just blew this picture up to see if William is wearing a ring. I need help. In case you were wondering, I don't think he was. But I suppose it's not impossible.I think he is, it's very hard to see but I think I'm seeing a slightly different colour in the place the ring would be. ....I just opened this up in PS and added pixels to allow me to enlarge it further and there is definitely a ring on that finger. OH man. *hyperventilates at 2AM*

Oh, still a sad excuse of a dress. What we have to keep in mind is that daytime wear, even for a bride, required full length sleeves. William looks adorable as usual. I can accept the sleeves-what kills me is the bodice-so fussy, frilly and modest. The neckline on her other wedding dress showed more skin-she's so covered up it's disconcerting. And the veil! Yuck! But maybe she only wears it for the ceremony and tosses it out of the carriage on the way to their reception. And yes, William looks totally adorable! She might use the veil as a parachute when the carriage gets launched over a cliff by the ghosts of Darcy & Gillies.

From the perspective of the longevity of the show that was actually a pretty smooth move. *runs away before the forum stones me* *buries snacky alive in ball pit* What I think is interesting is the fact that once CBC picked it up things turned around. That being said.....*agressivly repeats do not get too excited do not get to excited to not get to excited* I like to think that if the show was going to be cancelled, the alternative ending would have been used (where Julia does not get on the train). But then that would have been a sad, short run of Murdoch Mysteries. The reason why I think the Darcy marriage was brilliant (beside the fact that it put off consummation of the Jilliam arc for a couple of seasons): Darcy is forever going to be a question and shadow of rivalry in William's mind. The potential for angst is unlimited. Also, that just took guts on the part of the writers. Has any other show ever married off one of the partners in an OTP to ANOTHER person? I think that's just not done. Yet MM did it. That sort of makes me proud of them for going there.

Haha you're welcome, glad they are useful! Anyway it's great to be back after a few months away, I really missed you guys, I was just swamped with everything at grande and real life stuff. But I'm back now and raring to go for god status! Thanks for missing us, but I think this is a completely new set of guys. Except for CC, Shangas, Murdochic - and very occasionally barbarama and carolion - this is mostly a new generation. I keep wondering what happened to the old one. (Mostly because we now have no mods except for rondetto). It seems like they were all scooped up by either The Rapture or the Facebook group. But this group is pretty active right now. Oh man those were the days. *stalks back though earlier season discussion posts.* But anyway the newer people seem pretty cool, I've just got to get used to seeing their usernames on stuff and such. It's amazing how active this group has become really, and it's great!

Yes it was, and we would have missed Murdoch and Crabtree inventing sonar, paint by numbers, and various other thing that my 2AM mind cannot remember. I honestly never understood why William never went after her when she went to Buffalo. That made me want to conk him upside the head, and then when we had a Julia fanizing about Murdoch and then not breaking things off with Darcy. That made me want to conk her upside the head. I may not be a fan of the whole Darcy marriage thing, but I do think that we got some great things out of it. Character devlopment for starters, and some great fantasy scenes, *coughBloodlustcough*, and also the sheer guts to do something like that, like you said, that in shows stuff like that usuallly works out BEFORE the alter not after.

= I honestly never understood why William never went after her when she went to Buffalo. That made me want to conk him upside the head, and then when we had a Julia fanizing about Murdoch and then not breaking things off with Darcy. That made me want to conk her upside the head. There have been endless theories about that here. The one I tend to go back to the most is the idea that William felt he needed to be invited by Julia. He was always waiting to be prompted somehow. Meanwhile, Julia didn't hear from William, she heard the Spinster Clock ticking all the more loudly because the "love of her life" didn't work out, so she rushed into the arms of Darcy for comfort.

The Rapture is the only logical explanation. /Georgemode
