I suppose it's too late to tease over that being the house William built for Julia...?

Both George and Lillian said goodbye to Emily at The train station.the show she is going to is a pilot episode So it may not get picked up.I think hopefully she's Taking a break and can come back Julia will train up Rebecca James To take over temporarily. Rebecca will be an assistant, not a future coroner. Julia will be the coroner from the looks of things. As for Emily, if Georgina is looking for new shows it does imply she wanted to leave MM. Even if the pilot doesn't get picked up there's a good chance she won't be back as she'd look for other new shows. I wonder if Emily is hiding something from her past. She does have that mysterious father...

Considering the fact it would be a demotion for Julia to go back to being a coroner, I think it's a good solution to give her someone to supervise. I think it's good to get Julia back in the lab and closer to William, but we can't wind back the clock on her professional career here. George already has the monopoly on staying in place via career sabotage!

I'm thinking Emily uncovered something and maybe Edna was leading the double life and Emily is caught in the middle and in danger? I feel for Emily and Lillian's relationship to come out in the open so soon after the whole George thing would be very odd and rushed. Just my two cents. Your "witness protection" theory makes a lot of sense. This is making me think the Black Hand is back! Perhaps the "shocking death" is the first witness is killed. Emily goes ahead and testifies and then is goes into hiding for her own protection. Of course more shocking would be if Emily testified, went into hiding, and then everyone heard she was killed anyway. (But that would preclude Emily ever coming back).

I'm indifferent to Lillian, we barely know her so I've had no reason to become attached. But, I don't want her to die because that's unfair to Emily. That's why I'm hoping that Emily gets the choice about her possible exit and any future she might have with Lillian. If Emily is leaving, then it means none of the other characters (William, Julia, George, Brackenreid or Higgins) will be the death. It doesn't seem like it's Emily who dies either. So MM wouldn't get rid of two main characters in S9. The only character I could see dying is Jackson. But it's looking more likely that the death is to do with a case, something that impacts Station house 4. I do feel better about not losing someone to a death. Initially I thought for sure we'd lose Higgins. I'd be alright if Jackson died, I'm not attached and we'd probably get a lot out of the episode. My thought is that it would be equally shocking if the death were related to (covered up by) someone at SH4. Of course George already has "he might have done it" covered. Then I thought the death might be Lillian's, perhaps because her orientation was outed. But she has been seen at the train station. Maybe these sightings are red herrings, though? I also thought that an MM character could have DONE something shocking. There were some allusions about Freemasonry, but Brackenried's plot was last year, and George is already in trouble. There's the thought that Emily might have something to hide: she used to be kind of creepy. Maybe she killed her father! But again, this sort of clashes with the whole "George might have done it" scenario. I'm wondering if Emily dies after she gets on the train, just when we think she's safe...

Speaking of the hotel, can they get a house already? Jeez I prefer the hotel: Julia doesn't have to cook.

Did anyone else notice the #Dominoes hashtag? Well, there it is: William and Julia were up all night playing strip dominoes. Obviously.

George already has the monopoly on staying in place via career sabotage! It's not a demotion. Being the coroner is quite a prestigous job. Her choosing to leave behind the asylum isn't going backwards, it's her changing directions in her medical career, like she's already done twice before. It's actually very in character for Julia to swap her career. Rebecca is a black woman so there is absolutely no way she'd be allowed to be a coroner because of the bigotry of the time. She's been described as an assistant and I believe that is exactly what she'll be, not a trainee pathologist like Emily was in early S5. From that snippet of script we saw it appears Julia is the coroner on the case. It's looking like that's what she'll be through most, if not all, of S9. If there's a S10 I doubt she'd will go back to the asylum or be promoted because it takes her away from the main action. Which seems to be what PM is reversing after S8.

Dominoes must be why the bed is so far from the wall. Someone dropped a domino under the bed and they had to move it to fetch it of course.

Perhaps Julia hasn't had enough science and dead people jokes in her life for the past few years and realized the morgue is her one true love. Or maybe she was so appalled with how people like Charlotte were being treated and couldn't change it (after trying very hard) so she quits.

Hello, every body! Been away for several months traveling and then recovering from neck surgery which has made typing very difficult since I can't look down just yet.
Anyway, I will try to catch up on the boards, but you guys have been so busy, it might be like reading War and Peace. I did not get tickets to the fan appreciation day, so if anyone knows of a ticket or two that is not being used, please let me know. I would love to come to Toronto and see the set.
