I was researching something else and happened upon info relating to the Ontario Elections of 1902.!! AND there actually WAS a female candidate in the elections---enter one Margaret Haile! Seriously, I was not expecting that! (Open the link below in a new tab and scroll to the bottom of the page for info on Ms Haile. Who knew she was a Socialist from the looks of her? So this has been the MM writer's plot all along... I'm thinking Julia has to drop out or swap her candidacy at some point. I'm wondering if it's for some angsty reason that has to do with William. Like he might get fired.

Wow, just checked it out and I hope to read the articles thoroughly on the weekend, I hope. Perfect job for shangas I'd say!! Thanks for letting me know about the post snacky, I probably would have run across his post eventually but nudging me in the right direction is much needed these days!! I saw the Orient Express article and thought ahhhh, snacky's "William and Julia" that wasn't but could have been....

Thanks for letting me know about the post snacky, I probably would have run across his post eventually but nudging me in the right direction is much needed these days!! I saw the Orient Express article and thought ahhhh, snacky's "William and Julia" that wasn't but could have been.... They would have had to take the steamship voyage first, too!
