I come back to my idea of Brackenreid being The Artful Detective. His painting has been prominent all season. Maybe he is the one that saves Murdoch by being smart, thinking, 'artful'. He then comes to the attention of whoever appoints the chief constable. He becomes CC, he makes Murdoch inspector (let's be honest he is the only one who would make William an inspector) and George becomes detective. George gets his well deserved promotion but can stay at SH4. Julia's painting has also been prominent in their hotel parlor room. Maybe she's the artful detective. I've been thinking that's how the promotion cookie would have to crumble for a while...but the counter argument is that William would make a poor Inspector, and Brackenreid would no that. Also, as much as people don't want to see George depart for Stationhouse 3, no one wants to see Brackenreid depart from Stationhouse 4 to somewhere in Queen's Park. On the other hand, I think we all want to see William get his own promotion or grow somehow. He has certainly done the political sucking up to deserve it. IMHO some special arrangement is going to have to be made for William so he can become Senior Detective or someone who is training detectives across the city...or helping to launch Toronto's first crime lab (hint, hint).

I was going to say that George is probably The Artful Detective...his way of thinking is certainly abstract and much less of the direct approach that Murdoch usually employs.

After all, George has just become a detective. And it may be up to him to save the day next week, if William is a target. I am still wondering about who was watching him and Edna, though.

I'm voting again that fake death is involved. (The Reichenbach Fall).

Interesting theories! I am intrigued how the owner of the sleeve is tied into it all. At first I thought it was Mr. Brooks for sure, but now I'm not so certain anymore.

Completely random fact: Mr. Brooks is also the name of a movie about a serial killer who's been getting away with murder for a really long time while appearing to be a model citizen in a loving, normal relationship. He's got a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde persona...

How fun! But why the expensive cover charge? Is there a chance of TPTB coming to hang out? You guys are officially in charge of leading the Twitterstorm!

The $25 includes 2 drink tickets, so it isn't that bad, actually.......we also take over the pub for the night and last time I didn't see everyone ordering food, so they have make some profit. It is quite a small place, so 50 people make it very crowded......they haven't said if anyone from the show is coming, but I'm sure somebody will be there.....last time we had Thomas Craig, Lachlan Murdoch, Arwen Humphries and Kristian Bruun........

Wow that's totally worth the price of admission! And the actors who show up can see exactly how you react and how their choices went over!
It will be fun to discuss Margaret's "proxy vote" and how marriages like hers affected the progress of women's suffrage.
I feel like there needs to be a "She's the boss of me, and I like it" pop song for Brackenreid!
