When TV writers get tired, grumpy, and drunk they like to claim that all TV entertainment is degenerate recycling and the venerable Polti said there were only 36 plots in the drama and that TV isn't really art because the writer's vision is distorted by too many constraints, etc. I have to confess as a fan, I sometimes get a guilty pleasure from the classic TV cliche plot, especially if it's served with a brilliant twist.
What classic cliche would you like to see indulged on MM? I'm thinking I'd like to see a William/Julia survival story with William injured or trapped so Julia has to do most of the work. 
(No, I'm not thinking of the private celebration party after their rescue -- stop looking so hopeful FallenBelle!)

How about the old doppelganger. Someone that looks like William undertaking some nefarious activities.

What's wrong with a private celebration party? Would you really object to seeing that? Rescue sex has such a desperation to it! Forgive me for pimping my most recent fic, but it's one of them trying to surprise the other with a special gift, only to have the other find out about it, and misunderstand what's going on. It's a cliche'd guilty pleasure, but I've been wanting to write one for a while, so.... |

I'd kind of like to see an episode where Murdoch/Julia, Brackenreid/Murdoch, Crabtree/Murdoch or Henry/George, (one of those pairings) get trapped somewhere and have to get their way out while try to reconstruct the last 48 hours as they are suffering from concussions and can't remember.
At the same time the rest of the team that isn't trapped is trying to figure out what happened to them, and rescue them before the thing that the trapped pair is with eats/zaps them to another demiension/kills them/turns them into toads, and solve the crime.
I just think that this would really bring out the friendships and bonds within the show between the characters more.
