There was an award-winning free flash game that was one of the first of it's kind (it might be as much as a decade old by now?) that I used to have bookmarked on an older computer, but I never played it. The game had Victorian constables and/or detectives solving a case. I never bothered with it because I wasn't interested in the time period - I only bookmarked it because it had won some multimedia awards, and I was interested in how such games were made.
Now that I am interested in the time period, I'd like to take another look at this game. But alas that bookmark list was a few computers ago, and I haven't been able to fish it out of several Google searches.
Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone?
Shangas, do you know about this sort of thing or have any connections that you could ask?
*btw, I'm almost sure it was black and white and may have had a pencil-drawn look.

How many more details do you remember? It's not ringing any bells with me.
What was the aim of the game? What were its features? What awards? And how old? What details?
Gimme that and I might be able to find it.
I've tried numerous search terms and nothing's coming up. That said, the internet moves at a speed of time+10.
10 years IRL is like 100 years on the internet. Things move VERY fast. It may not even be on there anymore.

I've given most of the details I can remember already. I'm not too shabby with Internet searches myself - I think this requires a serious games historian or someone who actually remembers this game. Since I never actually played the game I don't know details of how it was played. I think it just involved getting clues and solving a mystery - kind of like the MM Queen Street game. All I remember visually is seeing the constables in uniform like George. Also the game might have been in black and white. I remember finding it during a search of history-related games circa 2009(?).
