Re: William's remarks about being pulled into conversations "of little merit" at Mrs. Kitchen's Boarding House. (Yes, yes...that could be meta for being pulled into shipper conversations before he was married... ) ...anyway, I mentioned at the time that's also the classic declaration of the "Introvert Personality" - one of the flavor-of-the-month psychology/self-help fads in the US. (Sort of a second charge of Revenge of the Nerds where it turns out that those quiet Introverts actually have super leadership and business skills and, gosh darn it, should be better understood by folks). Falling heavily on the Introvert spectrum myself, I've been paying attention, and I'm all for this revolution. Anyway, today I saw this handy illustration about how to understand/interact with an Introvert. Just thought I'd post it here since it shed's light on the "conversations of little merit response", and how that probably wasn't meant to indicate elitism/snobishness, but rather the "Introvert". Hmm, so The Murdoch's are introverts
The Brackenreid's are extroverts
George is an extreme extrovert always thinking aloud and Emily is an introvert...is that why she was constantly indifferent or annoyed with him?

I'm confuzzled. Julia wouldn't have been averse to George or Emily stealing her sweet energy juices?
