Because I am a terrible person. No, really. That's what Cards Against Humanity tells me... www.fanfiction.net/s/10961754/1/Title: Occam’s Razor Author: Fallenbelle Rating: M-Mature Summary: The simplest answer is usually the correct one. Characters: William Murdoch and Julia Ogden Category: Angst and maybe romance? Does this seriously qualify as romance? Oh, dear… Spoilers/Setting: Takes place after season 1, sometime before or very early season 2. Notes: The bolded, italicized script is dialogue taken from “That Annoying Red Planet”, while the italicized script is taken and adapted from William’s dream/fantasy in the second Murdoch Mysteries film “Poor Tom is Cold.” Dr. Tellers Pocket Companion was an actual sex manual published in the mid-19th century that extolled the virtues of sex and the physiology of the genital areas. This is what happens when you watch the movie and the episodes the same night. Pervy William ahoy!

No more terrible than the rest of us.... This made me laugh more than it should have.

No more terrible than the rest of us.... This made me laugh more than it should have. What made me laugh was categorizing it as romance! Um, is this romantic? Really? But I didn't think anything else fit better, and it wasn't just angsty. Effed up wasn't a category, so I went with angst/romance. I suppose we're just lucky that William/hand wasn't a pairing option.

That last bit reminded me of a Josh Groban interview/variety show thing.

I didn't come up with that one on my library research run a couple months ago.

I didn't come up with that one on my library research run a couple months ago. I googled Victorian sex manual, 19th century sex manual, and various permutations. I found that particular book here: www.buzzfeed.com/fernriddell/9-books-that-will-change-your-19thc-sex-life-2-hamj#.jsE68Bn3YInterestingly, no copy of it exists online like other books, so I just had to make an educated guess based on descriptions. If you're interested, I can post other bibliography later-it's saved on my computer.

I have access to a super university research library.
