Franklin Expedition

While the Franklin Expedition was lost long before the Murdoch era, the search for the ships and questions about their fate fascinated the Victorians and Edwardians. The wreck of HMS Erebus was fund this past summer and the attached article from the CBC, there is information about a webcast from the lead archeologist at 7 EST tonight : www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/franklin-ship-dive-like-going-back-in-time-for-archeologist-1.2942646

Ooh, Arctic mystery! There is still room for "race to the pole" issues to come up on MM, though! Perhaps in politics only?

If I remember correctly Julia and William touch breifly on the expedition in "Journey to the Center of Toronto".
