Funny how the need to put pen to paper takes a hold of you, isn't it? Nicely done with good characterization-and it's imminently plausible. Also, can I mention I love how you worked in William coming undone with the tie? It really does restrain him!  |

As most of you know I'm not a writer Bravo!!! I think that just took the temperature of the whole forum up a degree or two, lol. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who can't stop speculating on the corset, either. It's a shame MM is only having one ep devoted to it. Once that corset to tie connection was made... dang you Fallenbelle!
Anyway, I can also see Julia requesting William's services over tea. Now you need a proper account you know where.   |

As you know correct characterization is important to me and if I couldn't get it right I wouldn't bother writing it at all. I thought the idea was plausible, we know Julia isn't a saint, she'd been married for around 12 months and she had at least consumated her marriage though we don't know any more than that. However I do see Julia as being someone for whom a physical relationship would be important and I also see her as someone that would get very frustrated if that itch wasn't scratched. She's also waited 8 years to be with William and I think by now she'd be very impetuous. William on the other hand would be oblivious as usual ... unless his hand was forced. I had already decided the tie would be in if I ever put 'pen to paper' however the corset was an addition after TDWW discussion. It was after that that it insisted on being written. I have a great imagination but things tend to present themselves in the form of a conversation which, without writing it in script form, tends to be hard to transcribe into a story hence I usually don't bother. |

Given I finally got one down the other one that's been bouncing around in my mind insisted on getting out there too. I think the lack of Jilliam must be getting me frustrated. This one's very short and takes place around the end of season 7. They’d had a lovely evening strolling in the park after a light supper at Minnie’s Tea Room and William had just escorted Julia home. As they stepped onto the path to the front door William turned to Julia, took both her hands in his and planted a goodnight kiss firmly on her lips. As he released her he stood back and instead of looking at her he self-consciously stared at the ground. Julia was confused but let him be, whatever was bothering him she was sure he’d gather the courage to tell her. “Julia” he hesitated. Whatever was it he wanted to say? “… that night in the park, when we’d been drinking absinthe….” Julia looked at him and smiled, “The first time we kissed.” “Yes….” he trailed off. What was wrong? Why was he so hesitant? William finally plucked up the courage to look at her “If I hadn’t been drunk … and … I’d had protection,” he stared at the ground again, “would you have allowed me to make love to you?” Should she answer, and if so should she answer truthfully? Would he think less of her if she did? He loved her so much and had remained faithful throughout the trials she’d put him through despite the scandals. He knew who it was he loved by now. “Yes.” William gathered up his courage and looked her in the eye, “I have protection tonight.” Ooh, I love it! I've been toying with the idea of writing season 7 severe UST fic, but just haven't made it work. I've been working on a tag to Ragtime for a while, but it just hasn't come together. I think like you-frustrated by the lack of season 8 Jilliam, I've been trying to correct/flesh out season 8 episodes and that's been my focus of late. Ooh, I love it! I've been toying with the idea of writing season 7 severe UST fic, but just haven't made it work. I've been working on a tag to Ragtime for a while, but it just hasn't come together. However, I would love to see this fleshed out a bit-I'm sad I didn't take this angle. I was trying to figure out a way for a frustrated and somewhat self conscious William to tell Julia he wanted to make love to her, then I thought about The Green Muse and it was just right. I do have a chapter 2 that I could write but probably never will. Feel free to flesh it out yourself. |

Just one thing, and I hope this doesn't discourage you. These chapters are coming up on the All Posts view where people might not want to see them. I was think a good solution is to change the text color of the story to something that blends in to the background. Then those who want to read it can just highlight the text (ctrl+a highlights the whole page).
Sorry to be the forum frump, especially when I'm not even a mod. I just think some people won't be comfortable with this content, but it's very easy to hide it from view.

I suspect it's way too big to upload to the board and I have no idea how to upload it anyway. The song was Roxette's It Must Have Been Love which I hadn't heard for years, I came across it again recently and I thought hmm.... There may or may not be more. I have to admit that I'd rather leave everyone to their own imagination when it comes to sex scenes. One of my favourite authors writes great books but she only ever tried one sex scene, it was important for the book but not well written, she leaves it to the imagination now and I'm fine with that. I'd rather imagine than have a poorly written scene. I'm not sure if I'm up to it. |
