This thread is to remind me to watch people who are using photo montages with music who may be on the verge of blossoming into full-fledged vid-makers.

I couldn't find an appropriate thread so I thought I'd post this in here.
I really want to make a Jilliam music video but my DVD's won't let me rip them because they are copyrighted. Those who have made Jilliam music videos, did you get them from your own DVD recordings or downloaded from youtube etc?

If you decide to use YT, make sure to download the highest quality available cuz it just gets diluted even more once you process your music vid with whatever program you decide to use. If you've already got an editor in mind than just disregard this: I use Windows Live Movie Maker. Really simple to figure out but tends to crash often. There are other free video editors out there but I found them more complex/confusing with little to no additional features. Anyway, good luck with this. We are sorely lacking in mm vids.

I too use Window Live Movie Maker despite the fact I have Adobe Premier Elements. I find it really simple to use and it has sufficient features for music videos though the latest version does lack some of the features of earlier versions. I used to use cropping and zooming for my dog show videos but unfortunately that seems to have been removed. I don't have a problem with it crashing though, in fact I find it quite stable.

I probably just have a shit computer. Like 35 clips in WLMM overwhelms the graphics display and crashes my entire computer. One time I nearly smashed the thing cuz I couldn't get my vid to process before it gave me the blue screen of death. Don't buy a Vaio.

Unfortunately I don't have an excuse for getting a new one as there's nothing wrong with this one....
