Interesting article, but it's the article about the woman who wants to wear trousers immediately following the policewoman article that grabs me! That article almost has a salacious, tabloid quality to it! The Tribune's journalistic standards have come a long way.

Actually the nature of journalism at the time was one of the reasons I was so certain MM would cover the Manhattan train tragedy. Not only was the nature of the trial right up William's alley, SH4 would have been relying on sensationalistic newspaper reporting for news. I posted some news clips before the start of the season. It was the age when yellow journalism was invented!
