Chlorine Gas In WWI

Chlorine Gas was used in WWI for the first time in WWI during the Battle of Ypres in 1915.  A Canadian officer, Lt-Col GG Nasmith had been in charge of the purification of Toronto's water and was able to identify the gas: www.thestar.com/news/world/2015/04/25/toronto-sanitation-expert-identified-poison-gas-used-at-ypres.html

I'm fascinated by the whole idea that chemical weapons derived from the chemical dye industry and patent wars. I was actually waiting for MM to touch more on that this year (there was a hint in Murdoch and the Cloud of Doom) because LoveMondays had been told there would be an episode dealing with deadly clothing - took that to mean toxic dye. Anyway, I think there are some story avenues there that MM has opportunities to explore - and probably some opportunities for some visits from Meyers! and perhaps even Giles if he was boosted from prison as a Crown asset...
