OMG, I've totally been avoiding that fic with my 11-foot pole! And I resided in the slash corner of my former fandom (the same one Fallenbelle found misogynistic! ) Any Gedna fic in there? I've been hyper-busy and haven't been able to read anything for a couple of months... Nope. No Gedna fic, a few that tried to restore Gemily, but no Gedna. Which, given how little Fic there is for this fandom, isn't really a surprise. Is this just the MM fandom or is "fic" a fandom wave that has crested (most of the cliches having already been written in several fandoms now...). I still think one of the problems for MM was not having it's own archive. Fanfic.net seems like a cheesy place to search: I was honestly surprised it allowed for R ratings.

I quite liked them together as well. George was such a smooth operator in Power, and I was glad to see her return. Edna herself is okay, but I really love who George is around Edna-he's not emasculated like he was with Emily. Yeah...I've seen the Gillies/Murdoch fic, and just been like "nope." At one time she was a potential sabateur for animal rights! And she snuck into her boarding house too late at night! Where is that woman? She got married and has a stepson!

I was debating setting up a separate fanfic site for MM and found a program but I just couldn't get my head around how to set it up. The instructions were sorely lacking.

Given how many of my students are into reading and writing fic for their favorite anime shows, I think it's just MM fandom in general. Sherlock has 53,000 fics. Scandal has 1,400, and Castle has 20,000. These are just a few current shows, and not at all an exhaustive compilation.

Aw I could have helped with that when I had more time. But now I don't have time.

Sherlock has like a handful of episodes and tens of thousands of fics? Someone felt inspired.

Hello, my name is Victorian gentleman, it's been 2 wks since I was here last because I moved house. I,m coping without murdoch by walking round the house in a bowler hat, a false moustache, sideburns, and always having a glass of whiskey in my hand, and generally using the terms "bloody ell" and "oh bollocks" at any given opportunity. However, when I watch my DVD collection of MM, it's usually in my pyjamas, with a bowler hat, moustache, sideburns and a glass of whiskey, and I sometimes use my walking cane to shove people against the wall who disturb my murdoch session, whilst saying to them.... "that don't cut the mustard with me sunshine!!!! I,m from Yorkshire..... bloody ell...."

Which really isn't surprising though how Sherlock "took the world by storm" back in the day. And anyway with that number of Fic's it's really difficult to navigate. I much prefer the smaller amounts even though it can be frustrating when trying to find a "good" one.
