I was surfing through the TV guide and came across MM on CBS so decided to tune in, I've never seen it on a US channel before. It was Belly Speaker and they just showed the whole of the first scene in Roderick Grimesby's apartment before the opening credits. Just seems so wrong. It was definitely edited but I have to admit it was seamlessly done and they didn't cut too much out except they cut where William saw Harcourt's ghost.

They often noticeably speed show up here to make more room for the commercials. Also, it looks like they only bought two seasons, since they started rerunning from Power after they got through Season 2. They are running several episodes out of order. I'm wondering if this is deliberate since producers mentioned so many times how their concern about Jilliam was they wanted the episodes to be plug-and-play in syndication. Also, most Jilliam scenes are stripped out of those two years worth of episodes.

Also, most Jilliam scenes are stripped out of those two years worth of episodes. I didn't notice any speeding up. There were a couple of scenes shortened. The one where William is jealous of Doyle's interest in Julia was shortened and another scene (can't remember which now) was cut but not too badly and the ghost scene I mentioned. I actually found the teaser before the opening theme more jarring. It just seemed odd. I don't think there were any more commercials than CBC has. There were no Jilliam scenes in Belly Speaker other than the ones Doyle was in if I remember rightly.
