www.fanfiction.net/s/11269629/1/If anyone knows how to get their story formatting to stay when uploaded to fanfic.net I'd appreciate some help. No matter what I do my formatting disappears when the story is saved. It's driving me nuts as all the paragraphs look like they're running together. I sometimes like to separate out a few paragraphs to highlight different parts of the story.

I sometimes like to separate out a few paragraphs to highlight different parts of the story. This drives me nuts about FF.net. It also removes separators like **********. I think you will be happiest if you write the story with minimal formatting (perhaps even put it in notepad instead of Word). Then use FF.net's own editing controls to put in any formatting you want after you've uploaded it.

It's been driving me nuts today as I wanted several more spaces between paragraphs in this last story and it just kept stripping them out. I hate the way the paragraphs appear to run together with only one line between them. The thing that bothers me is I've seen these separators in other stories so how do they get them there!!!?

I haven't been able to insert the star separators. There is a line separator that you can insert within the FF.net editor. Maybe you can stack a few of those...? Or try lines of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I don't think the system would collapse a letter. I'm way behind on my reading - maybe I can check a few out after I scan through the forum.

I've gone in and edited the line in. Still not happy with it but it's better than it was. I don't understand why it strips everything out of a document. I could see with cutting and pasting but not a Word document.
