Hey everyone! My name is Katie and I'm a fan from Manitoba, Canada.
I managed to get a ticket to the studio tour on Saturday, at 9 am. I'm bringing along my friend Murray, who also loves MM! I wish I would have found this site months ago. Not only is it a pretty cool community (I've been lurking as a guest all day), but I would have known about the Experience event!!! Sadly, I booked my next step in the vacation on Saturday afternoon, so even if tickets are still available I probably won't able to attend. Over the last hour my mind has gone a bit wacky and I have been considering a swap of travel days, if I can! I'll be looking into that on Tuesday. Next year I'll be at the full MME event, for sure!
I love history. I have my BA Hons. in History, specializing in the fur trade and social history of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Originally, my focus was on Latin American history, but I actually switched after a combination of factors. I worked at a National Historic Site, and then fell in love with the MM TV show. The rest was history (hah).
Now I'm a teacher, and I try to get kids hooked on MM as much as possible! It has worked, I have a few kids catching up over the summer. I can't wait to meet some of you folks!!! If not this year, then definitely next.
