A bit after MM's time (unless we are lucky enough for 21st season), but today, a time capsule placed in the cornerstone of the North Toronto train station built in 1915 was opened: www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/09/09/north-toronto-railway-station-celebrates-100-years-with-time-capsule-opening.html
This would have been in the riding Margaret Haile ran in. While it was considered North Toronto then, now it is mid town. Fortunately, the train station has been preserved, even if the trains don't stop there anymore. The building has been converted into an LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) and is the biggest one.....it really is a great store, with a much better selection of beer than at other LCBOs.
Among the articles placed in the time capsule was the Chief Constable's report for 1914.....also there were copies of the 5 daily newspapers, with WWI dominating the headlines......
