The Parkwood Estate in Oshawa has been used several times as a Murdoch location:
The Camp referred to is Camp X, started by William Stephenson, which trained secret agents during WWII.
(A quibble.......they really could have made sure they pronounced Lieutenant properly. The Canadian pronunciation is LEFtenant, not Lootenant.....drives me nuts.....)

Great post: I grew up in Oshawa, and did not know much of this history. Colonel Sam was definitely considered the founder of Oshawa though, and the reason why GM became such a big company in Canada. It is still what drives Oshawa, although its production capacity has much diminished recently. It was great to hear so much about Adelaide. On the tour they only seemed to say that she was ill a lot. Sounds like she led a fuller life than we were led to believe.
