Where are you? If you're in the US you can get it all on AcornTV, most on Netflix I think. Ovation channel has it as The Artful Detective.

I seem to recall the first season was shown somewhat out of order. Somebody posted the correct order here, once.

One of the reason it's unorganized is that the show-runners didn't want a strong arc: they wanted to syndicate the show to TV stations so they would be able to air the episodes in any order. Fans insisted on various arcs and kept inventing them where the writers didn't intend them, and the showrunners seemed to feel more secure about arcs once MM had a stable home at CBC.

The American syndicated version was often out of order and skipped episodes: it was difficult to hook onto this, and I believe this is why MM didn't flourish in the American syndicate market. It doesn't matter much though, because I doubt local TV stations paid much for the rights - I hope this showed the folly of catering to their needs. I'm curious if the syndication experience was the same in other countries.

The only issue with the CBC App is that, for some reason, season 4 is missing!

It's a season that was first shown on CityTV and is still owned by them. CBC is gradually buying the rights to all the seasons and S4 is the last one.
