Does anybody else here watch this show? I've become so enamored with it, that I actually started planning a trip to Newfoundland to see the sights! Also, gotta love the tie in with MM! The episode " Republic of Murdoch" introduces Jacob Doyle from St. John's, as everyone knows. There was also an episode of Doyle that had a character, played by Yannick Bisson, who was a Toronto cop looking for a woman. He was the great, great grandson of Detective William Murdoch...but he wasn't a very good copper! Anyways, since I'm now caught up on Murdoch, and I have the CBC App, I'm going to go back and relive my borderline obsession with Doyle!

Doyle, aka Alan Hawco, is currently playing a Scottish fur trader competing against the Hudson's Bay Company in a series called Frontier on the Discovery Channel......it is well done, if a bit gory.....they filmed a lot of it at the Fortress of Louisbourg, NS.....

Can't remember the title, but I saw a movie with Alan Hawco not too long ago. He played a geologist from Newfoundland in the late 60s doing a survey of some kind in Iceland, where he meets and falls in love with a girl destined to become a nun. I was quite impressed with it! ***Just checked IMdb, and the movie I referenced is called Love and Savagery***
