I thought that they were so cute and Crabtree's speech about not being the best man or the most handsome was so heart-warming! I really hope that he finds a girlfriend in season four

Oh yes, good call. I remember thinking the same and then seeing them in the earlier series with Houdini and there was a hint of flirtation then too.
That could actually be rather interesting if they were to get together and Julia and William not - but of course they all meet up somewhere with awkwardness etc!

Of course now there is Tess Moffat thrown into the mix, too. I also liked George with Edna Garrison, the animal rights advocate in the first episode. I thought she and George had good chemistry, too. I wonder if Ruby and Tess will meet when Ruby comes to town for Julia's wedding. I also wonder if Higgins will get a love interest. I think it might be interesting to see Tess and Higgins hit it off. Perhaps he will join her private detective agency since George seemed to not be willing to leave Station 4.

Yes, really hoping Crabtree and Ruby get together. I like how they are so different and how Ruby makes George blush, heh.

Yes I really liked his little speech too, I thought for sure she would go against what he said about him not being the best, and she certainly looked like she wanted to. I'm really looking forward to what the next season brings, he's hilarious and cute and I hope he finds someone.

Crabtree and Ruby are really cute together but Ruby is a very adventurous girl. I dont think she could settle down and stay in one place. She loves meeting different men to improve her career as a reporter. So , I think she will carry on to do just that for a while longer. May be 10 years down the line, when she is Julias age, she will see things differently and may enjoy living in Toronto to be closer to Julia and Crabtree in that matter. She is a young girl, she needs to see the world now and Crabtree needs to grow up a little bit too. But I can see that relationship working in a few years.

Spotted some indirect evidence for George/Ruby.
In Twentieth Century Murdoch, William's son refers to "Uncle George". If Julia marries William and then Ruby marries George, that would make George the uncle of William's son.
Even if William's trip to the future is all in his imagination, that means that somewhere in his subconscious William thinks George should be with Ruby. Interesting timing since George had just asked William's advice on inviting Emily to the ball.

Haven't seen the episode yet (and still not sure about my feelings on the whole Ruby thing) but calling someone "uncle" or "aunt" could simply indicate their parents are good friends. I had an "Aunt Karen" growing up who was actually my best friend's mother...no relation.

I had an "Aunt Karen" growing up who was actually my best friend's mother...no relation. True, but it's also interesting that George would be that "close friend" in William's mind. In the workplace, their relationship is very formal, and William insists proprieties. Brackenreid has outright pushed William to make some effort to maintain some friendships. I'm not sure whether the future vision means that William imagines their relationship to be closer than it is, or that he sees the future playing out in such a way that one or both of them leave Stationhouse 4, after which point they can start interacting as equals.

True...or, (to play devil's advocate) I could see a situation where George interacts with the kids more, leaving them with a fondness for calling him "uncle" even though his working relationship with their father remains professional.

Hmm, I can see that. But - again trying not to spoil an episode you haven't seen - this is something William imagines. Would he imagine his kid (and note - he's imagining a kid!) calling George "uncle"?

Haha, guess I'll have to wait until I get to that episode!! Ugh...I fail to see how Netflix caught on so quickly when it involves so much waiting around!

Haha, guess I'll have to wait until I get to that episode!! Ugh...I fail to see how Netflix caught on so quickly when it involves so much waiting around! Apparently even Netflix Canada has a problem keeping all the seasons on hand. I suspect the problem is the same as for TV distribution: the potential distributors are undervaluing the product at hand, and the relevant producers (Shaftsbury, CTV, CBC, Alibi, and who knows who else) aren't able to get a fair deal for it. The solution would be to make Murdoch Mysteries popular in America, so the distributors would pay any price for it. He he.
