Hi everyone! I'm Quigs. I am going on vacation to Toronto in a couple of weeks, and I was wondering if while I was there, I might catch them filming something for Murdoch Mysteries? I went on vacation last year to Chicago and saw some filming of "Chicago Fire" thanks to a Twitter account called "Filming in Chicago" that notifies when/where a show/movie is filming. It was so fun!! But so far I can't find anything like that for Toronto If anyone could tell me how I might find out filming times and locations, that would be so awesome Thanks!

Unfortunately, MM films very little in Toronto, except at their sets in a studio, which is closed to the public. Most of the non-set filming is done all around southern Ontario, like Hamilton, Guelph, Cobourg, to name a few, and even then, they don't really announce much in advance. While you are in Toronto, though, you can visit a few spots they have used, like Metropolitan United Church, where the wedding was filmed. Are you driving here? There are some sites within easy driving distance.

I am actually staying in Hamilton just so I can see some filming sets hehe Like the Museum of Steam and Technology. I'm guessing we'll spend a day in Toronto - we haven't made definite plans yet. I will have to check out the church! I'm renting a car (I'm from Texas I'm very excited to see Niagara Falls hehe! I've never seen anything like that - a natural wonder of sorts. I'm also excited for cold weather lol! So can't know much in advance though, eh? :/ Darn. Oh well. I had seen this article and got my hopes up: www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/2015/12/01/fans-turn-out-for-murdoch-mysteries-filming-in-downtown-peterboroughThanks for replying!

Well, if you are driving to Niagara Falls, you will see signs for Balls Falls Conservation area.....stop in there as several episodes have been filmed there, including Colour Blinded. There is a small Pioneer village there and the church was used in that episode. Also the mill was used for the episode in which Brackenreid's son Bobby was kidnapped......I believe the episode Kommando was filmed, using one of the ruins in the woods as the old farm........the Hamilton area is loaded with waterfalls, and there should be lots of water for the time of year, because we've had a very rainy summer. Be sure to see the Scottish Rite.....it is used frequently as a location, although you won't be able to go inside.
Sorry to disappoint, but we are actually a bit above average in temperature at the moment, although that could change at any time. It shouldn't be cold, though.
