(not until 6 November......) Looks like the man is Mr. Dilbert from the records office. I hope he doesn't die, I really like him and would like him to return in the future.

This was a really good episode. So tragic--especially for the actress who played Mildred (was that her name?). Wasn't she in Victor, Victoria? I think that was the name of the episode when her husband gets sent to jail at the end when he thinks she's having an affair with another man but it's really a woman living as a man. Now she lost Dilton.
I enjoyed the talk between Dilton and Brackenreid. There was so much regret in Dilton--so focussed on his job he forgot to enjoy what else life has to offer. It was so sweet when Mildred showed up and the two confessed how they felt about each other. That, for me, was one of the most sweetest romances on this show. I so wanted Dilton to live so he could get his HEA with Mildred.
Heh@Watts. I liked how he was chasing around that nurse, trying to get her attention.
When I saw the preview, I thought Murdoch was going to invent something to save Dilton (trapped in car and needs jaws of life), but when I saw what happened to the poor man, I realised it was not good and no invention could help the poor man.
He went out a hero, saving the city from the con-artist.
I loved that Miss Cherry made an appearance and had a change of heart about reporting on the accident and chose to help gather up the pigs. I always liked how assertive she is, even her pushiness. She's a flawed character that I enjoy watching grow and develop. I hope the producers keep her around.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

This episode was a heartbreaker. I just finished watching it and the tears are still wet on my cheeks. Mr Dilbert didn't deserve to die like that, he was a sweet man and his and Mildred's scenes broke my heart. Good acting from both of them. I recognized the actress from an earlier appearance in Victor, Victoria.
I knew the nurse was involved the second she magically popped up and treated Flannery's nose first even when Mr Dilbert was so badly injured. That was a major red flag.
Nice to see Miss Cherry without the OOC personality change from recent episodes. She's ambitious but she isn't really a bad person, and she can be caring. Watts once again proved to be about as useful to the plot as a chocolate teapot. Mr Dilbert was the star of this episode and I'm sorry to see the last of him.

For all the talk last year that Brackenreid's character was going to be killed off because the actor didn't want to spend so much time over here, he sure has been on a lot. No complaints, even though he isn't my favourite character. I really enjoyed his interaction with Dilbert and was glad to see Miss Cherry's human side. Still not a fan of her character.

Oh don't mind me blubbering on the floor. That episode hurt. Right in the feels. Oh Dilbert. You did not deserve that. How does Watts able to be so clumsy and so graceful at the same time? He's got pirouette feet - That nurse was utterly incompetent. I have no words. I knew something was up when she wasn't wanting to get to the badly injured Dilbert - to me it seemed she was stalling. Armstrong I thought was fishy from the start. I must say it was nice seeing Cherry put down her "Story first" attitude and muck in to help out with the pigs - I feel like there were a lot of details in this episode i missed the first time around. Will definitely have to come back when I have a bit more mental strength to watch Dilbert dying again. It's still a bit raw right now.

I agree about Watts, but he did provide some comic relief from the heavy sad moments. Oh Dilbert. I wish we had seen more of you before you left. Also agreeing with you about Miss Cherry as well. The last few episodes with her in have portrayed her rather negatively - always after the story and screw the consequences. It was nice to see that she hasn't lost that nice person beneath, that drew us to her in the first place. I feel like she might use her ambition like a shield - protecting her from those that might want to or already have hurt her.

I could do without him cluttering up scenes. I already liked Dilbert and this ep made me like him even more. I was hoping that for once Julia might be wrong and he could survive; he and Mildred deserved a chance to be together. It was so sad and I cried my way through their later scenes. This Miss Cherry is the one I liked from the start. Yes, she can be too pushy with her reporting, but she does have a good side to her. I didn't like the OOC writing they'd given her during her recent appearances and this episode had her acting like her old self.

I really liked, and really hated, this episode.
I liked it, because it was extremely different. For one, it's ENTIRELY outdoors. Very rare for this show.
For two, it's a recognisably modern scenario - a traffic accident.
For three, it involved a lot of past references. Bloom & Crabtree, Mr. Dilbert, etc.
The characters and their interactions I thought, were very solid, entertaining and realistic.
I DIDN'T like it, because of only one thing.
Mr. Dilbert died...WHY!? He was such a nice man.

Ohh, man. I watched this during my lunch hour at work. I wish I'd known it'd be such a tear-jerker!

Yeah even I didn’t like the rationale behind killing Gilbert. However, I feel that at times reality at times is stranger. I have worked for a top DUI attorney Los Angeles and have seen so many similar incidents and cases there.
