This was an awesome episode. I loved the spotlight on John Brackenreid. Great to see him get a meaty role. Crabtree as a professor was great. He really took his part seriously and really enjoyed teaching literature by taking such interest in his students. I LOL'd when he pulled out his book as the subject for discussion. When Watts pulled out the latest device Murdoch was working on, it made me wonder if this will be used in a future episode.

I liked this episode. I am glad they are introducing new characters bit by bit, and I enjoyed watching George get involved as much as he did, in investigating.

I actually thought the episode was kind of mediocre and not as good as ep 3-5. I hope Julia's arc doesn't now mostly revolve around the fertility storyline, she felt like a spare part in this episode. She's a great coroner and a baby shouldn't the be the be and end all for her.

I never did get around to commenting on the last episode - and I'm getting tired so I'm going to keep it breif. I enjoyed this episode way more than the last one :/ Anyway I'm pretty sure I laughed through the whole thing XD
Murdoch & Watts - them suiting up for the ash sifting was just great - Murdoch is clearly very touchy about people fiddling with his inventions/stuff in his office. - Watts was a bit extra this episode - but rather funny none the less in his quirky way - DEAD PERSON CONVERSATION
Crabtree & Brackenreid (Jr) - GEORGE DOING SCIENCE AAAHHHH Hanging out with Murdoch all these years he was bound to pick up something! - I nearly choked on my turnover when George pulled out The Curse of the Pharoahs - he really should write a new book though. Don't get me wrong PHaroahs is great it's just I feel like Crabtree should write another. I know he has the comic books but IDK Just my opinion really - Murdoch's facial expressions when he was proposing the whole undercover thing to brax were just hilarious. - Personally I"m enjoying having John Brackenreid around this season - especially as we're slowly getting to know him better. Methinks that he became a constable because he actually doesn't know what he wants to do. And went into the poliece just because it was there and in a sense easy - his father's a cop so why shouldn't he follow in his footsteps as he doesn't know what he wants to do yet. He's not sure it is or isn't for him yet, but he hasn't found anything that makes him go "That. That is what I want to make my profession" Kind of ties into Crabtree's dive into not giving up your passions.
George & Nina - Glad these two are official official! I suspected after this seasons opener that they were back together but it's always nice to have it confirmed! - Liked that tidbit about the beginning of their relationship - Nina if I recall correctly was in a constable's outfit when we first were introduced. - Can I have more Julia/Nina bonding please? That roller skating ep was great last season and is it wrong that I'm hoping for more?
Ogden & Lady Artemis (sorry I can't remember her real name XD) - Artemis has the beadside manner of a dead skunk. And it's funny! - I love how Julia was all like AHHHHHHH soo happy and she was just all okay. - I also found it an interesting contrast of doctors - we don't get to see Julia with too many other female doctors these days outside the morgue that is. - Speaking of I hope we see Viola again soon -
William & Julia - The lack of Jilliam didn't seem to bother me this episode. There was enough going on that trying to squish an additional scene or two in would have probably seemed forced. - The one scene there was it was a good solid scene, and it really fit into the mood of the episode/Julia's arc
Thomas & Maragaret - Really she's stubborn? Have you looked in a mirror lately Brax? With you two stubborn mules of parents it shouldn't be a surprise that dispite your attempts at dissuading John he's still stubbornly sticking it out.
So much for keeping it short haha..

Great episode. The Julia arc is one way of getting some romantic Jilliam moments without overdoing it. It is a great storyline and I can't wait to see what the writers have in store.Certainly no expectations of any happily ever after. Loved George and Brackenried Jnr. in this.It is good the way the writers give good screen time for the newbies. When will William buidl that house?. The writers are doing a fantatic job finding new stories every week. Great season so far. Only up to this episode in Oz.
